HD Radio
The radio stations that make up the HD Radio Alliance have begun running holiday commercials boasting that an HD Radio receiver is truly a gift that keeps on giving. When you give an HD Radio receiver to someone on your list (keeping in mind that 93% of Americans 12+ listen to radio every week), you “re-gift” all of the free music, talk and sports on AM, FM and the new digital HD2/HD3 channels. This campaign supports retailers and device manufacturers during this very important holiday selling season. Retailers are also working with iBiquity Digital on in-store point-of-sale materials and other advertising avenues to maximize this huge radio campaign. Consumers will get information on the radio, online and in stores to help them upgrade to HD Radio Technology. Consumers can visit HDRadio.com to check out HD Radio receiver deals and locate the HD Radio Buyer’s Guide containing information on all HD Radio devices. Consumers can also find specific HD Radio Station Guides for their market. Listen to the holiday commercials at HDRadioAlliance.com.

Putting together an electronic HD Radio broadcasting audio/visual guide.
iBiquity Digital is creating a station guide that will highlight all HD Radio stations through display of a station’s logo and a brief aircheck of its content. For the first time, station content will be displayed using the actual sound while displaying the logos of all your channels, including your HD2 and/or HD3 channels. Paper and website station guides currently exist, but this new electronic guide will be a digital extension for use in tradeshows, by national sales reps in client pitches, and so on.
