Premiere Radio network promotes Rick Murray to VP of integrated marketing and promotions. He'll oversee marketing, brand development, partnerships, and promotions for all Premiere's nationally syndicated country shows. Before joining Premiere, Murray was president of entertainment marketer Greylock Entertainment, and he's also served as VP of strategic marketing for the Country Music Association
Chris Zito
CBS Radio "Oldies 103" WODS, Boston (103.3) morning show co-host Chris Zito exits the station. Karen Blake continues in the timeslot solo.
Chris Crowley
Entercom hires Chris Crowley to program classic rock WCMF, Rochester (96.5) and sister "Sports Radio 950" WROC, succeeding Dave Kane, who remains in afternoon drive. Crowley most recently programmed classic rock WARO, Ft. Myers.
Jim Vicevich
CBS Radio parts ways with WTIC, Hartford (1080) morning host Jim Vicevich who says in a blog post that he wasn’t able to reach a new employment deal after four months of negotiations.
Tom Dixon
Los Angeles radio is remembering longtime classical music air personality Tom Dixon, who died March 13. He was 94. Dixon is believed to have been the market’s longest-serving radio host, working at stations including KUSC, KFAC and KHJ.
John Webster
Entercom hires 30-year Wilkes Barre-Scranton air personality John Webster for mornings on talk WILK, replacing Kevin Lynn. Webster left mornings on Times-Shamrock Communications’ "Rock 107" WEZX earlier this week after more than 30 years with the station. He joined the station at age 25 after completing an internship.
Jeff Cushman
CBS Radio’s hot AC "Mix 105.1" WOMX, Orlando PD Jeff Cushman exits the station after nine years.
Bill Gamble
After eight months as program director of CBS Radio’s country "US 99.5" WUSN and hot AC "Fresh 105.9" WCFS, Bill Gamble has exited the Chicago cluster. Gamble has spent most of the last three decades in the market.
Bruce St. James
CBS Radio’s Phoenix cluster says goodbye to Bruce St. James, who has resigned for an unnamed position elsewhere. St. James has been PD of country KMLE (107.9) and "101.5 Jamz" KZON since January.
Pandora Yeargin-Johnson
Sun Radio Network hires Pandora Yeargin-Johnson as VP of Network Sales & Marketing. She was most recently at Citadel Media, but also has worked for Clear Channel and CBS Radio. Yeargin-Johnson will help develop new, strategic partnerships across Sun’s program offerings such as "Your Weekend with Jim Brickman’ and a new urban AC product that will be announced in the coming days.
CRB Board
Country Radio Broadcasters has appointed three new board members: Johnny Chiang (OM, Cox Radio Houston), Dan Halyburton (President, RadioTime) and Clarence Spalding (President, Spalding Entertainment).
J. Basil Dannebohm, Ryan Mulligan
Entervision hires J. Basil Dannebohm as interactive sales manager for its Denver cluster. He has held various project management and consultant roles at companies like Denver Newspaper Agency, The World Company and Wiatt Radio. The company also names Ryan Mulligan as web content publisher for the four-station cluster’s websites. He’s worked on dozens of interactive projects over his career including a variety of websites for independent films, actor and director media sites, and small corporation sites.
Mike Majchrowitz, Rich Johnson
Fox News Radio names Mike Majchrowitz as White House correspondent and Rich Johnson becomes senior national correspondent. Majchrowitz has been a congressional correspondent and anchor for Fox News Radio. He previously worked radio and TV in Washington, DC, Chicago, Houston, and St. Louis. Johnson started at Fox News Radio as a general assignment reporter in April 2005, and was the network’s first White House correspondent. Prior to reporting for Fox News, Johnson worked in Seattle, Portland, New York City and Chicago.
Elvis Duran
"Kiss 95.3" WSKX, Portsmouth, NH is the latest station to pick up Elvis Duran’s syndicated morning show.
Chris Hoiles
Former Baltimore Orioles catcher Chris Hoiles will co-host afternoons on "Fox Sports 1370" TK. He joins former director of minor league operations for Ripken Baseball Adam Gladstone.
Chris Edmonds
With the retirement of Dick Purtan after 45-years on Detroit radio, CBS Radio’s WOMC taps Chris Edmonds to fill morning drive until a permanent replacement is named.
