Lotus grows in NorCal.

 

Howard Kalmenson’s Lotus Communications has filed a deal to buy a construction permit for a new station at AM 890 licensed to Olivehurst, CA.  It will pay $700,000 to seller Huth Broadcasting.   The CP has been licensed for 350 watts day and 250 watts at night but an upgrade is expected to allow the station to cover the Sacramento market during daytime hours.  Lotus also owns five stations in the nearby Reno, NV market.
