Townsquare Media, Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, seeks a Director of Sales.
Their DOS, Brian Sines, has done such a great job of crushing goals the last 5 years, and has been promoted and is leaving in July to run his own Townsquare market in Texas. This kind of turnover is good, and could be your opportunity to run one of Townsquare Media’s most successful markets – Cedar Rapids / Iowa City.
We have hit net revenue goal for 33 out of the last 33 months. We are currently Townsquare’s #1 market in terms of digital revenue generation and have the #1 dominant 4 station cluster in Cedar Rapids / Iowa City. Our sales team is very tenured with 2 President’s Club Top 20 sellers.
This DOS position will eventually lead to the Market President position. This market acts like a much larger market and is one of the finest media facilities in the nation. Here’s the type of traits we are looking for:
COMPETITIVE: Keep Cedar Rapids at the top of the stack. Love to win and hate to lose. Always strive to be the best media company in Eastern Iowa.
STRONG WORK ETHIC: Do whatever it takes to keep the salespeople selling. Be a recruiting monster and retain the best talent in the market through great coaching, effective training, and sales plan execution.
POSITIVITY: Lead by example and lead from the front with a good attitude, especially when it’s hot in the kitchen.
CLOSER: You will be a selling DOS, handling a number of large direct accounts and in the field coaching the A/E’s.
