Knoxville, TN –Loud Media files a $325,000 deal to buy hot AC “River 106.1” WJRV and “Good Time Oldies 104.9” WTNQ from Donna Alpert’s Momentum Broadcasting. Loud Media will begin operate the stations under a local marketing agreement starting July 1. It already owns rock WVLZ (1120) and oldies WKCE (1180) in the Knoxville market, each of which have FM translators. Loud Media also operates stations in New York, Tennessee and Colorado. It is the result of the recent merger of Aaron and Jessica Ishmael’s A&J Radio and Ricki Lee’s Border Media. Broker: Eddie Esserman, Media Services Group

South Carolina – Doug Sutton and Terry Carter’s Georgia-Carolina Radiocasting files a $280,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WYPJ, Due West, SC (95.3) from RFPJY LLC. Georgia-Carolina Radiocasting already owns eight stations in the region but none overlaps with WYPJ.

Williamsport, PA – Kristin Cantrell’s Seven Mountains Media files a $100,000 deal to buy silent WLYC (1050) and WEJS (1600) from Todd Bartley’s Colonia Radio Group of Williamsport. Both stations are currently off the air. The deal also includes three FM translators: the Williamsport, PA-licensed W281AR at 104.1 FM; the Jersey Shore, PA-licensed W281CI at 104.1 FM; and the New Columbia, PA-licensed W272ED at 102.3 FM. The stations had been in receivership since 2016. Seven Mountains Media owns eight other stations in the region, but there are its first signals in market No. 257.

Oklahoma – Nancy Miller’s One Media files a $90,000 deal to buy full control of “Classic Hits 105.7” KRDR, Alva, OK. One Media previously held a 40% stake in the station. The deal buys out the 20% interests that have been held by Matt Adair, Terry Ross and Clint Claypole. One Media already owns talk/sports “95.3 The Cowboy” KWKN, Wakeeney, KS but its signal doesn’t overlap with KRDR.


Grand Rapids, MI – Grand Valley State University files a $50,000 deal to buy the Grand Rapids, MI-licensed W237CZ at 95.3 FM from Goodrich Radio. The filing says the translator will simulcast the University’s news-talk/jazz WGVU-FM (88.5). It also owns “Real Oldies 1480” WGVU in the Grand Rapids market.

Illinois – Sarah Shellhammer’s Morgan County Media files a deal to buy the Jacksonville, IL-licensed W246DP at 97.1 FM from Bart Boling’s Morgan County Broadcast Company. The signal will simulcast “Talk 1550” WJIL. Shellhammer bought WJIL and country sister WJVO (105.5) plus the Jacksonville, IL-licensed translator W275BM at 102.9 FM from Boling for $250,000 in 2018.


Ohio – Tom Klein’s BAS Broadcasting closed a $688,000 deal to buy oldies WTTF, Tiffin, OH (1600) from Anthony Paradiso’s Tiffin Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Tiffin, OH-licensed translator W227BJ at 93.3 FM. BAS Broadcasting had been operating the station under a local marketing agreement since 2015 and under the terms of the deal all of the $19,000-per month LMA fees were be applied toward the purchase price. BAS Broadcasting already owns seven stations in the region including three that overlap with WTTF including AC “Eagle 99” WFRO-FM, country “100.9 Coast Country” WMJK, and classic hits“92.1 The Wolf” WOHF.

Canton, OH – Educational Media Foundation closed a $100,000 deal to buy religious WJDD (90.9) from Hazen Ministries. EMF doesn’t currently own any stations in the Canton market although it owns a translator in the adjacent Akron, OH market: the Wadsworth, OH-licensed W214CD at 90.7 FM. WJDD will not only cover Canton but also parts of the Akron market. Hazen Ministries still owns religious WJEE, Bolivar, OH (90.1).

Florida – Ferris Waller’s Walco Enterprises closed a $150,000 deal to buy WFHT, Avon Park, FL (1390) from Azure Media. The deal also includes the Avon Park, FL-licensed translator W298BU at 107.5 FM which allows the urban AC station to brand itself as “Kiss 107.5” covering the Sebring, FL area. Walco Enterprises already owns variety “Boss Hog Radio” WWAB/WHNR (1330/1360) in the Lakeland-Winter Haven, FL market and its simulcast WKFL, Bushnell, FL (1170) covering Sumter County. Hawaii – Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls has closed a $25,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KCIF, Hilo, HI (90.30 from Hilo Christian Broadcasting.

Tennessee – George Hudson closed a $2,500 deal to buy the currently-silent WBIN, Benton, TN from Pioneer Health and Missions. Hudson already owns oldies “Homegrown 1220” WCPH and gospel WENR (1090) in the area.
