Albuquerque, NM –Vanguard Media files an $850,000 deal to buy CHR “Z-106.3” KDLW from BB Broadcasting. Vanguard Media has operated the station under a time brokerage agreement since June 2017. Both entities are controlled by Don Davis. Once the sale closes BB Broadcasting will still own AC “Cindy 101.3” KRKE-FM and smooth AC “The Oasis” KOAZ (1510) in the Albuquerque market. It also owns the Albuquerque-licensed translator K279BP at 103.7 FM which simulcasts KOAZ.
Texas & California – Hector Guevara’s Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna files a $700,000 deal to buy two FMs and 14 FM translators from Paulino Bernal. The stations include Spanish contemporary Christian “Radio Cristiana” outlets KVFM, Beeville, TX (91.3) and KPMB, Plainview, TX (88.5). The translators include the Hereford, TX-licensed K201EP at 88.1 FM; the Freeport, TX-licensed K201FA at 88.1 FM; the Red Bluff, CA-licensed K207CM at 89.3 FM; the El Campo, TX-licensed K208DK at 89.5 FM; the Edna, TX-licensed K209DB at89.7 FM; the McFarland, TX-licensed K209DN at 89.7 FM; the Victoria, TX-licensed at 90.1 FM; the Bay City, TX-licensed K212FE at 90.3 FM; the Mineral Wells, TX-licensed K213CS at 90.5 FM; the Louise, TX-licensed K216EI at 91.1 FM; the Ridgecrest, TX-licensed K217DA at 91.9 FM; the San Marcos, TX-licensed K218CO at 91.5 FM; the Los Banos, CA-licensed K220GR at 91.9 FM; and the Port Lavaca, TX-licensed K220HF at 91.9 FM. The deal includes a $650,000 promissory note.
Tucson, AZ – Family Life Radio strikes a deal to sell one of its three stations in market No. 62. Fletcher McCusker’s Tucson Radio files a $650,000 deal to buy contemporary Christian KFLT (830) from Family Life. Also included in the sale is the Oro Valley, AZ-licensed translator K269FV at 101.7 FM. McClusker plans to convert KFLT into a commercial station. Once the sale closes Family Life Radio will still own contemporary Christian KFLT-FM (104.1) and KTUK (88.5) in the market. Broker: Kalil
Omaha-Council Bluffs, NE – My Bridge Radio files a $135,000 deal to buy religious “Living Water Radio” KZLW (90.1) from Calvary Chapel of Omaha. My Bridge Radio owns seven other FMs in Nebraska but KZLW will be its first in the Omaha market. Once the sale closes, Calvary Chapel of Omaha will still own religious KHLW, Tabor, IA (89.3).

Colorado – Krayon’s Wild Basin files an $80,000 deal to buy eight FM translators from Skandia. The signals include the Eagle, CO-licensed K231AP at 94.1 FM; the Breckenridge, CO-licensed K237BI at 95.3 FM; the Silverthorne, CO-licensed K248AP at 97.5 FM; the Glenwood Springs, CO-licensed K252BX at 98.3 FM; the Breckenridge, CO-licensed K258AS at 99.5 FM; the Vail, CO-licensed K288DA at 105.5 FM; the Rifle, CO-licensed K298AT at 107.5 FM; and the Steamboat Springs, CO-licensed K247AP at 97.3 FM.
Peoria, IL – Duke Wright’s Midwest Communications has closed a $21.6 million deal to buy Alpha Media’s cluster in market No. 159. The stations include hot AC “Mix 106.9” WSWT, country “104.9 The Wolf” WXCL, classic hits “93.3 The Drive” WPBG, classic hip-hop “G 102.3” WNGY, talk WMBD (1470) and oldies “Super Hits 1290” WIRL. Midwest owns 75 stations but these become its first in Illinois. The deal is the latest in a series of spin-offs by Alpha, which earlier sold clusters in West Palm Beach, FL; Biloxi, MS; and Bluefield, WV. Broker: Kalil
Tennessee – Forever Media closes a $765,000 deal to buy four stations and two FM translators from Benton-Weatherford Broadcasting including hot AC “94.1 The Lake” WLZK, Paris, TN; country WMUF, Henry, TN (104.7); and the oldies simulcast of WRQR, Paris, TN (1000) and WHDM, McKenzie, TN (1440). The three translators in the deal include the Paris, TN-licensed translator W248BK at 97.5 FM which relays WRQR. And the McKenzie, TN-licensed W255BF at 98.9 FM which simulcasts WHDM. Forever Media already owns 17 stations in a region along the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Benton-Weatherford Broadcasting still owns oldies WHDM, McKenzie, TN (1440).
