Charlotte, NC – Carolina Catholic Radio Network files a $210,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WCGC (1270) from GHB Broadcasting. Carolina Catholic Radio Network is operating the station under a local marketing agreement until closing. It plans to clear the EWTN Network on the station. Once the deal is finalizes, GHB Broadcasting will still own three other stations in the Charlotte market, including regional Mexican “La Raza 106.1” WOLS, religious WAVO (1150), and the silent WHVN (1240).

Montgomery, AL – Roscoe Miller’s Autaugaville Radio files a $50,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WXKD (920) from Paul Reynolds’ Brantley Broadcast Associates. The deal also includes the Troy, AL-licensed translator W293DL at 106.5 FM. Autaugaville Radio will operate the stations under a time brokerage agreement until closing. It already owns three other stations near the Montgomery market but none of them overlaps with WXKD. Once the sale closes, Brantley Broadcast Associates will still own sports “ESPN 1400” WWTM, in the Huntsville, AL market and WLEE, Winona, MS.

Georgia – Edgewater Broadcasting files to swap classic hits “My FM” WSIZ-FM, Jacksonville, GA (102.3) and two FM translators: the Ocilla, GA-licensed W251AU at 98.1 FM and the Douglas, GA-licensed W260BU at 99.9 FM – to Middle Georgia Community Radio. In exchange, Middle George Community Radio hands over religious “Freedom Radio FM” WKIH, Vidalia, GA (90.3) to Edgewater Broadcasting. Under the terms of the deal, Edgewater will also make a $55,000 payment to Middle Georgia Community Radio.


California – Westside Christian Fellowship files to transfers the Lake Isabella, CA-licensed translator K227DD at 93.3 FM to Hill Broadcasting for no consideration. The translator simulcasts AC “Rewind 98.1” KRWI in the Bakersfield, CA market.


Ohio – Alan Stockmeister’s Jackson County Broadcasting closes a $150,000 deal to buy “Classic Rock 98.7” WYRO, McArthur, OH from Davis Broadcasting Media. Jackson County Broadcasting has been operating WYRO under a time brokerage agreement since 2006.

Texas – North of Brownsville, La Vox de Dios Comunidad Cristiana closes a $75,000 deal to buy Spanish religious “Radio Vida” KRVP, Falfurrias, TX (91.5) from Christian Ministries of the Valley.
