STATION SALES

Houston – El Sembrador Ministries has filed a $725,000 deal to buy KYND (1520) from Pro Broadcasting. KYND is a 25,000-watts daytime-only station. The deal includes a $325,000 promissory note. El Sembrador Ministries will put its Spanish-language religious forma ton the station. Broker: Sandi Bergman

Pennsylvania – Family Life Ministries has filed a $725,000 deal to buy religious WFRJ, Johnstown, PA (88.9) and religious WKDN-FM, State College, PA from Family Stations. The deal also includes the Scranton, PA-licensed translator W280CV at 103.9 FM. Family Life Ministries already owns 13 stations in Pennsylvania.

Richmond, VA – Mobile Radio Partners has filed a $209,500 deal to buy Spanish CHR “Ultra Radio” WTOX (1480) and classic hits “Boomtown Richmond” WVNZ (1320) from TBLC Richmond. The deal also includes the Richmond, VA-licensed translator W269DC at 101.7 FM. Mobile Radio Partners already owns Spanish CHR “Ultra Radio” WULT (1540) and classic hits “Boomtown Richmond” WBTL (1450). Is already operating WTOX and WVNZ under a time brokerage agreement. Midland-Odessa, TX– The Hispanic Family Christian Network has filed a $200,000 deal to buy the currently silent KXOI (810) from Pedro Emiliano. The Hispanic Family Christian Network owns several other full-power stations, FM translators, and low-power TV stations in Texas but KXOI will become its first asset in the Midland-Odessa market.

Massachusetts – Gary Hanna files an $180,000 deal to buy classic hits “102.3 The Dunes” WGTX, Truro, MA from Ron Robin. In addition to the cash payment, the contract says Hanna will also issue a $20,000 advertising credit to the Mews Restaurant in Provincetown, MA which is owned by Robin. The :60-second spots will run at a rate of $10 each – or a value of two thousand commercials. Hanna does not own any other radio stations, but he is the creator of the Mix Hits Radio streaming music company.

Georgia – Pensacola Christian College has filed a $142,500 deal to buy adult standards WEEZ, Greensboro, GA (89.9) from Community Public Radio. The deal also includes the Milledgeville, GA-licensed translator W245AN at 96.9 FM.

Toledo, OH – The Delmarva Educational Association has filed a $110,000 deal to buy sports “106.5 The Ticket” WTOD from the Mainstay Station Trust. That is the Eliot Ever-run trust that Cumulus Media created to spin-off four FMs to get its 2018 bankruptcy reorganization approved by the FCC. While Delmarva Educational Association will pay $110,000 cash for the station, the contract says the value of the deal will be “at least” $400,000 with the difference considered a “charitable contribution” by Cumulus to the religious broadcaster. Delmarva Educational Association will put its religious “The Truth” network on the signal. Once the sale closes, Cumulus will still own classic rock WXKR (94.5), CHR “Q-105.5” WQQO, country “K-100” WKKO, classic hits WRQN (93.5) in the Toledo market. Cumulus still has two other stations in the Last Bastion Station Trust for sale: adult R&B KOKY (102.5) and gospel “102.5 Praise Radio” KPZK in the Little Rock, AR market.

Massachusetts – Bob Bittner Broadcasting has filed a $100,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WBAS, Cape Cod, MA (1240) from Langer Broadcasting Group. The deal also includes the West Yarmouth, MA-licensed translator W268CP at 101.5 FM. Bob Bittner Broadcasting currently owns adult standards WJIB (740) in the nearby Boston market.

Pennsylvania – Lightner Communications has filed a $70,000 deal to buy talk WTYM, Kittanning, PA (1380) from Family Life Media Com. The deal also includes the Kittanning, PA-licensed translator W279DN at 103.7 FM. Lightner Communications will operate the station under a local marketing agreement until closing. Matthew Lightner owns six other stations in Pennsylvania, but none overlaps with WTYM. Brokers: Richard Parrish and Roger Rafson of CMS Station Brokerage

Illinois – Spoon River Media has filed a $30,000 deal to buy talk/classic hits WBYS, Canton, IL (1560) from Illiana Communications. The deal also includes the Canton, IL-licensed translator W229BZ at 93.7 FM. Spoon River Media already owns adult hits “Q-98.1” WILP in the area.

Georgia – Agape Life Ministries has filed a $27,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WYTH, Madison, GA from Debra Baker.

South Dakota – Ronald and Denise Schacht’s Gray Ghost Broadcasting has filed a $25,000 deal to buy “Pure Country” KQKD, Redfield, SD (1380) from Rob Ingstad. The deal also includes the Redfield, SD-licensed translator K260DG at 99.9 FM.

Hagerstown, MD – John Staub’s Hagerstown Broadcasting Company files a deal to transfer adult standards WJEJ (1240) to his daughters, Joanna Parsons and Jennifer Tait, in a cash-free move. The deal also includes the Hagerstown, MD-licensed translator W282CR at 104.3 FM.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Phoenix – CRC Broadcasting has filed a $20,800 deal to buy the Mesa, AZ-licensed translator K287BX at 105.3 FM from Vic Michael’s Mountain Community Translators. CRC Broadcasting already uses the signal to simulcast business news “Money Radio 1510” KFNN.

CLOSINGS

Florida – Dockins Communications has closed a $233,580 deal to buy the currently-silent WJTK, Columbia City, FL from Newman Broadcasting. WJTK has been in receivership since Newman Broadcasting defaulted on a 2012 promissory note held by Columbia Bank. Fred Dockins already owns “Power Country 102” WQLC and classic rock “The Zone” WGRO (960) in the area.

Kansas – Nancy Miller and William Wachter’s One Media has closed a $65,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KMML, Cimarron, KS (92.9) from Randy Michael’s Radioactive. One Media and its related companies already own talk/sports “95.3 The Cowboy” KWKN, CHR “Kiss 104.7” KXNC, “My Country 93.5” KKDT, “My Country 98.3” KQZQ, and “Classic Hits 105.7” KRDR in the area.
