Virginia – Educational Media Foundation has filed a $750,000 deal to buy AC WFLO-FM (95.7) and country WFLO (870) in Farmville, VA from Francis Wood’s Colonial Broadcasting. EMF currently owns three FMs in the nearby Richmond, VA market including contemporary Christian “K-Love” network affiliates WLFV (98.9) and WKYV-FM (100.3), and “Air1” affiliate WARV (90.1). Texas – Township Media has filed a $750,000 deal to buy KGID, Giddings, TX (96.3) from RF Services. The contract says $500,000 of the purchase price is attributed to the station assets with the balance attributed to related property. Township Media currently owns three other stations in the region including “Sun Radio” KTSN (1490) in the Austin market, but none overlaps with KGID.

Richland-Kennewick-Pasco, WA – Iglesia Pentecostal Víspera Del Fin has filed a $175,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KZXR, Prosser, WA (1310) from Bustos Media. The deal also includes the Prosser, WA-licensed translator K237GY at 95.3 FM. After the sale closes, Bustos Media will still own four other stations in the Richland-Kennewick-Pasco market including regional Mexican “La Gran D” KZTB (97.9), regional Mexican “La Maquina” KRCW (96.3), and the regional Mexican “La Zeta” simulcast KMMG/KZXR-FM (96.7/101.7).

Portland, OR – Iglesia Pentecostal Vispera del Fin has filed a $70,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KZGD (1390) and silent KCKX (1460) from Edward Distell. The filing shows the value of KZGD is $50,000 in the deal and KCKX is at $20,000. Once the sale closes, Distell will still own Spanish Christian KWBY (940) and the Salem, OR-licensed translator K228FN at 93.5 FM in the Portland market.

Washington – Bustos Media has filed a $70,000 deal to buy regional Mexican “La Gran D 105.7” KZGI, Sendro-Woolley, WA from Gerson Infante-Reina. The stations are in Skagit County, WA outside of Seattle and while Bustos Media owns three stations in the market only one signal – regional Mexican “La Z 103.3” KZNW overlaps with KZGI.

Victor Valley, CA – Jeff Chang has filed an $8,500 deal to buy KIQQ (1310) from MMTC Broadcasting. The deal is part of a two-step transaction that begins with Lazer Broadcasting’s previously filed move to donate KIQQ to the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC). Chang Broadcasting already owns oldies KQTE (1450) in the Victor Valley market. And once the donation closes, Lazer Broadcasting will still own the regional Mexican “Radio Lazer” simulcast of KIQQ-FM/KBTW/KWRN (103.7/104.5/1550) in the market.


Arizona – Bustos Media has closed a $450,000 deal to buy the Tucson, AZ-licensed translator K233CI at 92.5 FM from RadioForSale. The deal includes a $425,000 promissory note. The translator currently relays the HD3 channel of Lotus Communications-owned classic rock KPLX (96.1) as Spanish CHR “Toño 92.5.” Bustos Media currently owns R&B oldies “106.3 The Groove” KTGV and news-talk “1030 The Voice” KVOI in the Tucson market. The new signal will give it either the option of simulcast KVOI on the FM dial or adding a third format by relaying an HD channel of KTGV. Broker: Kozacko Media Services

Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC – Entercom has closed a $400,000 deal to sell gospel/religious WPET (950) and gospel WEAL (1510) to Stuart and Nancy Epperson’s Truth Broadcasting. Truth will operate the stations under a time brokerage agreement until closing. Entercom still owns country “93.1 The Wolf” WPAW, adult hits “98.7 Simon” WSMW and urban AC WQMG (97.1) in the market.

Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz, CA – El Sembrador Ministries has closed a $335,000 deal to buy religious KKMC (880) from Carl Auel. El Sembrador Ministries already owns Spanish religious KRXA (540) in the market and it leases KMBX (700) from Entravision Communications. Broker: Sandi Bergman.

U.S. Virgin Islands – Alma Francis Heyliger’s Infinity Broadcasting has closed a $160,000 deal to by news-talk “Radio 1000” WVWI, Charlotte Amalie, VI from Gark LLC. The deal includes a promissory note for $150,000. Francis was the previously general manager of WVWI from 2013 to 2016; and she has hosted a talk show on cross-town talk/urban AC WVIE (107.3) since 2015.

North Carolina – Skyline Media Holdings has closed a $125,000 deal to buy country WBRM, Marion, NC (1250) from Annette Bryant. The deal also includes the Marion, NC-licensed translator W280FP at 103.9 FM. Skyline Media Holdings is a partnership of Brian Lilly, Kevin Lilly and Todd Fowler. It does not own any other stations. Lilly Broadcasting is an Erie, PA-based radio and television broadcaster whose holdings include hot AC “Happi 92.7” WICU in Erie and its simulcast WICU, Warren, PA (1310) as well as classic hits “92 Gold” WRRN and “Kinzua Country 104.3” WNAE in the Warren region. Fowler is a veteran media broker and radio station owner, most recently owning a piece of Quorum Radio Partners. Broker: Jorgenson Broadcast Brokerage

Riverside-San Bernardino, CA – Rocking M Media shareholder Christopher Miller closed on a deal to personally acquire “Smart Talk 1490” KMET from the company his father, Monte Miller, controls. The filing says the purchase price is $51,000. The transfer also includes the Beaumont, CA-licensed translator K251CC at 98.1 FM. Christopher Miller owns a minority 33% stake in Rocking M Media which doesn’t own any other stations in the Riverside-San Bernardino market but owns 27 stations in Kansas. Christopher Miller earlier bought four stations in the Salina-Manhattan, KS market from Rocking M Media. Broker: Gammon Miller

Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol, TN-VA – Glen and Rita Harlow’s RGH Communications has closed a $50,000 deal to buy contemporary Christian WZAP (690) from Awaken Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Bristol, VA-licensed translator W227DT at 93.3 FM.

Oregon – Rubin Broadcasting has closed a $25,000 deal to buy news-talk “K-Cup 1230” KCUP, Toledo, OR from Thomas Hodgins’ Xana Oregon. Steve and Lauren Rubin already own hot AC “Rewind 98.1” KRWI in the Bakersfield, CA market as well as AC “Skunk FM” KUNK, Mendocino, CA (92.7) and talk KTOX, Needles, CA (1340)

New York & Vermont – Aaron and Jessica Ishmael’s A&J Radio and Ricki Lee Shorthose and Hanna Maria Kaleta’s Border Media merged their two companies into a single entity to be known as Loud Media. The new company has now closed a $30,000 deal to buy classic country “K-94.1” WNYV, Whitehall, NY (94.1) and its simulcast WVNR, Poultney, VT (1340) from Michael Leech’s Pine Tree Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Poultney, VT-licensed translator W242DF at 96.3 FM. The filing includes a separate purchase of $120,000 for related real estate. Under the Loud Media partnership, Border Media contributed stations the company owns or leases in northern New York and A&J Radio contributed stations it owns Kentucky and Colorado.
