STATION SALES

California – Centro Christiano Amistad Church has filed a $1.8 million deal to KCFA, Arnold, CA (106.1) and KNTO, Chowchilla, CA (93.3) from La Favorita Broadcasting. Both stations air the regional Mexican “La Favorita” network. The filing shows $1 million of the purchase price is for KCFA and $800,000 is attributed to KNTO. The deal includes a $1 million promissory note.

Kansas – Don and Denise Sherman’s Intrepid Companies has filed a $300,000 deal to buy KDVB, Effingham, KS (96.9) from Cumulus Media. KDVB simulcasts Topeka market classic rock “V-100.3” KDVV. In Topeka (market No. 199) Cumulus also owns AC “Magic 107.7” KMAJ, classic hits “99.3 The Eagle” KWIC, “country “102.9 Nash ICON” KTOP-FM, and “Sports Radio 1490” KTOP-FM. Phoenix – Desert Soul Media has filed a $125,000 deal to buy classic hits “Neon 90.7” KVIT from the East Valley Institute of Technology District #401. The deal includes a promissory note for $112,000. Desert Soul Media plans programming that will target African Americans living in the market. Once the sale closes, the East Valley Institute of Technology District #401 will still own CHR “88.7 The Pulse” KPNG in the Phoenix market.

Montana -- Wasatch Community Media has filed a $70,000 deal to buy adult alternative KYWH, Lockwood, MT (88.9) from Fresh Life Church. The deal also includes the Billings, MT-licensed translator K296EM at 107.1 FM.

Virginia – The Colonial Beach Community Foundation has filed to donate WWER, Colonial Beach, VA (88.1) to Colonial Beach Community Radio.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Dallas – Kuldip Singh’s We Serve has filed a $685,000 deal to buy the Dallas, TX-licensed K225CM at 92.9 FM from the Hispanic Family Christian Network. The filing says the translator will simulcast Urban One’s rhythmic CHR “97.9 The Beat” KBFB.

Arizona – Catz & Dawgz has filed a $15,000 deal to buy the Wickenburg, AZ-licensed translator K221GE at 92.1 FM from Powell Meredith Communications. The filing says the translator will simulcast Barna Broadcasting’s “96.3 Real Country” KSWG, Wickenburg.

CLOSINGS

Arizona – Janice Derks and Jason Zinzileta’s Prescott Broadcasting has closed a $1.03 million deal to buy talk “The News 1490” KYCA, Prescott, AZ from Chavez Radio Group. The deal also includes the Prescott, AZ-licensed translator K278CN at 103.5 FM. The contract lists a $900,000 promissory note. Prescott Broadcasting has been leasing the stations as well as easy listening KAHM (102.1) from Chavez Radio Group since January 2018.

Idaho –McVey Entertainment Group has closed a $350,000 deal to buy hot AC “Y-105” KVTY, country “106.9 The Outlaw” KMOK, and classic country KRLC (1350) in Lewiston, ID from Ida-Vend Communications Group. The deal also includes the Lewiston, ID-licensed translator K226CT at 93.1 FM that simulcasts KRLC. McVey Entertainment Group already owns “Z-Rock 96.5” KOZE-FM and talk KOZE (950) in Lewiston. McVey Entertainment Group still owns stations in Moscow, ID and Colfax, ID.

Florida – The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine has closed a $203,000 deal to buy WVIJ-FM, Port Charlotte, FL (91.7) from the Port Charlotte Educational Broadcasting Foundation. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine already owns stations classic hits stations in the Sarasota-Bradenton, FL market and in Zolfo Springs, FL as well as in Erie, PA.

Nevada – Juan Rodriguez’s Biggest Little Radio has closed a $193,000 deal to buy hot AC KRNG, Fallon, NV (106.3) from Sierra Nevada Christian Music Association. Rodriguez has operated the station under a time brokerage agreement since January 2017 and the $24,500 paid will be applied to the purchase price.

Mississippi – TeleSouth Communications has closed a $44,000 deal to buy “Super Talk Mississippi 103.3” WZKR, Collinsville, MS from Morning Star Media. TeleSouth Communications owns two dozen Mississippi stations, but none overlaps with WZKR.

Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC – Base Communications has closed a $40,313 deal to buy the currently-silent WSGH (1040) from TBLC Media. Base Communications is owned by the Baker family, which separately owns the religious group Positive Alternative Radio that owns “Joy FM” WTJY/WXRI (89.5/91.3) in the Greensboro market.
