STATION SALES

Winchester, VA – Educational Media Foundation has filed a $1.75 million deal to buy hot AC “Wink FM” WINC-FM from Centennial Broadcasting. EMF already owns contemporary Christian “K-Love” affiliates WTCF (103.3) and WLTK (102.9) in the Winchester market. After the sale closes, Centennial Broadcasting will still own country “B-105.5” WXBN and the news-talk simulcast of WZFC/WINC (104.9/1400) in the Winchester market. The deal does not include the WINC-FM call letters so the hot AC brand may be moved to another signal. Brokers: BIA Capital Strategies and Serafin Brothers

U.S. Virgin Islands -- North Caribbean Conference of SDA Broadcasting has filed a $237,989 deal to buy religious WGOD-FM, Charlotte Amalie, VI (97.9) from Three Angels Broadcasting. Once the sale closes, Three Angels Broadcasting will still own religious WIGT (1690) in Charlotte Amalie.

Colorado Springs, CO – Power 957 LLC has filed an $185,000 deal to buy KCBR (1040) from SGMK Communications Partners. The deal also includes the Colorado Springs, CO-licensed translator K239CH at 95.7 FM which gives the 15,000-watt daytime-only AM a 24-hour signal. The buyer is a partnership among Florian De Castro, Lynda Cink, and Ronda Bell. They do not own any other stations.

In a separate but related deal, Power 957 LLC has also filed a $65,000 deal to buy the Colorado Springs, CO-licensed translator K253AH at 98.5 FM from Todd Robinson’s United States CP. The signal has previously simulcast KCBR.

Montana – Cameron Maxwell’s Desert Mountain Broadcasting has filed a $50,000 deal to buy KYWL, Bozeman, MT (1490) from Chaparral Broadcasting. KYWL is a construction permit for a station with 1,000-watts day and 900-watts night. The deal also includes the Bozeman, MT-licensed construction permit K281CX at 104.1 FM. Desert Mountain Broadcasting already owns a cluster in the Billings, MT market.

Long Island, NY – Michael Celenza has filed a $20,000 deal to buy Spanish Christian WLIM, Medford, NY (1440) from Erick Salgado’s Radio Cantico Nuevo. Celenza already owns the New York, NY-licensed translator W292DV at 106.3 FM. It relays Westchester County ethnic WVIP (93.5) into Manhattan. Once the sale closes, Radio Cantico Nuevo will still own WTHE (1520), WNYG (1580), WLID (1370), WLIX-LP in the Long Island market.

New Haven, CT – Clark Smidt has filed a deal to buy the currently-silent WATX (1220) from Quinnipiac University. Smidt will pay only the legal expenses to cover the transfer up to $3,000. He doesn’t own any other stations. Smidt is a radio consultant and Boston market radio veteran. Once the sale closes, Quinnipiac University will still own adult alternative WQAQ (98.1) in the New Haven market.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Pennsylvania – Inspiration Time has filed a one dollar deal to buy the Girard, PA-licensed translator W226BQ at 93.1 FM from the Girard Alliance Church. The signal already simulcasts Inspiration Time’s Erie market religious station WCTL (106.3).

CLOSINGS

Duluth-Superior, MN – Townsquare Media adds to its cluster in market No. 210 as it closed a $370,000 deal to buy classic rock “Sasquatch 92.1” WWAX from Twin Ports Radio. Townsquare already owns hot AC “Mix 108” KBMX, country “B-105” KKCB, classic hits “Kool 101.7” KLDJ, and sports “The Fan” WEBC (560) in the market which also airs on the Duluth-licensed translator W293CT at 106.5 FM. Townsquare Media will operate WWAX under a time brokerage agreement until closing. Twin Ports Radio still owns sports “The Jock” KJOQ (1590).

Tennessee – Michael Brandt’s Southern Broadcasting has closed a $250,000 deal to buy classic rock “93.9 The Fox” WWGM and gospel WDTM (1150) in Selmer, TN from Grace Broadcasting Services. Southern does not own any other stations.

South Carolina – The Power Foundation has closed an $180,000 deal to buy WKSX-FM, Johnston, SC (92.7) from Edgefield-Saluda Radio Co. The Power Foundation owns the gospel “The Life FM” network which it is expected to install on WKSX-FM. The station serves the Augusta, GA market. Broker: Mark Jorgeson

Montgomery, AL – Roscoe Miller’s Autaugaville Radio has closed a $50,000 deal to buy the WXKD (920) from Paul Reynolds’ Brantley Broadcast Associates. The deal also includes the Troy, AL-licensed translator W293DL at 106.5 FM. Autaugaville Radio already owns three other stations near the Montgomery market but none of them overlaps with WXKD. Once the sale closes, Brantley Broadcast Associates will still own sports “ESPN 1400” WWTM, in the Huntsville, AL market and WLEE, Winona, MS.

Richmond, VA – Fifth Estate Broadcasting has closed on its donation of classic hits “The Mater” WHAN, Ashland, VA (1430) to Stu-Comm. The deal also includes the Ashland VA-licensed translator W275BQ at 102.9 FM. Stu-Comm already owns WFTH (1590) in the Richmond market which relays its adult alternative WNRN (91.9) from the Charlottesville, VA market.
