STATION SALES

Fort Myers-Naples, FL – The Association des Haitiens vivant a L’Etranger pour Le Develop has filed a $500,000 deal to buy Spanish religious WBIY, La Belle, FL (88.3) from Oscar Aguero Ministry. The deal also includes the Naples, FL-licensed translator W263BY at 100.5 FM. Once the sale closes, Oscar Aguero Ministry will still own a low-power TV station in the Miami market.

San Antonio – Virgen de Guadalupe Global Communications has filed a $367,500 deal to buy Spanish religious KWMF (1380) from La Promesa Foundation. The buyer plans to return the station to a commercial format. Once the deal closes, La Promesa Foundation will still own religious KJMA (89.7) in San Antonio.

Indianapolis – Sharanjit Kaur and Sukhdev Singh’s Radio Punjab has filed a $129,000 deal to buy religious WGNR, Anderson, IN (1470) from Moody Bible Institute. Radio Punjab already owns stations in California, Washington, and Texas. Once the sale closes, Moody will still own five Indiana FMs. Broker: Griffin Media Brokers

North Carolina – Skyline Media Holdings has filed a $125,000 deal to buy country WBRM, Marion, NC (1250) from Annette Bryant. The deal also includes the Marion, NC-licensed translator W280FP at 103.9 FM. Skyline Media Holdings is a partnership of Brian Lilly, Kevin Lilly and Todd Fowler. It does not own any other stations. Lilly Broadcasting is an Erie, PA-based radio and television broadcaster whose holdings include hot AC “Happi 92.7” WICU in Erie and its simulcast WICU, Warren, PA (1310) as well as classic hits “92 Gold” WRRN and “Kinzua Country 104.3” WNAE in the Warren region. Fowler is a veteran media broker and radio station owner, most recently owning a piece of Quorum Radio Partners. Broker: Jorgenson Broadcast Brokerage

Tyler-Longview, TX – Chisholm Trail Communications has filed a $100,000 deal to buy the classic hits “K-Hits” simulcast of KEBE (1400) and KTLU (1580) from Paul Coates and Mike Huckabee’s Ozark Mountain Media Group. The deal also includes the Rusk, TX-licensed translator K280CL at 103.9 FM and the Jacksonville, TX-licensed translator K284CT at 104.7 FM. Chisholm Trail Communications owns stations in Kansas and Missouri and KEBE and KTLU will become its first stations in Texas.

Arizona – Vance and Karey Barbee’s New Start Broadcasting has filed an $89,000 deal to buy adult hits “Rewind” KXSL, Show Low, AZ (1470) from Ernie Barbee’s Casa Pinon. The deal also includes the Show Low, AZ-licensed translator K300CL at 107.9 FM and the Taylor, AZ-licensed translator K263CA at 100.5 FM. New Star Broadcasting has a pending deal with Cochise Broadcasting to buy KXBK (103.5) and KXMQ (97.7) in the area.

Georgia – Legacy Broadcasting has filed a $75,000 deal to buy religious WCDG, Dahlonega, GA (88.7) from Silver Dove Broadcasting. Under the terms of the contract, as long as Legacy Broadcasting owns WCDG it agrees to air the “Bible Voices for Today” program on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:30am for at least the next 20-years. The half-hour program is produced by Silver Dove, which will retain any underwriting dollars that it secures for the program. Legacy also agrees to air promos for the show. Legacy Broadcasting currently owns one other station on the other side of the country –KYMS (89.9) in the Spokane, WA market.

Dothan, AL – Michael Holderfield has filed a deal to become the owner of sports “560 The Ball” WOOF. He currently owns a 3% stake in the station with the balance held by Katrina Leigh Simpson. Holderfiled will pay $40,000 to buy her 97% stake. He also holds an interest in crosstown classic country “Weevil 101” WVVL (101.1). Once the transfer closes, Holdefield and Simpson will still jointly own AC “99.7 Woof FM” WOOF-FM.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Phoenix – Amigo Multimedia has filed a $60,000 deal to buy the Phoenix, AZ-licensed translator K298CK at 107.5 FM from Mountain Community Translators. The signal will continue to simulcast Amigo Multimedia’s Spanish news-talk KNUV (1190).

Michigan – Mentor Partners has filed a $38,642 deal to buy the Big Rapids, MI-licensed translator W256CC at 99.1 FM from Edgewater Broadcasting. The translator will simulcast the HD2 format of “Big Country” WWBR, Big Rapids, MI.

Indiana – Inter-Mirifica has filed an $8,000 deal to buy the Anderson, IN-licensed W252CY at 98.3 FM from Woof Boom Radio. The signal will relay religious “Catholic Radio Indy” WSQM (90.9) Indianapolis. Once the sale closes, Woof Boom Radio will still own four stations in the Muncie-Marion, IN market.

Arizona & Colorado – Mountain Radio has filed a $3,000 deal to buy the Cortez, CO-licensed translator K232EN at 94.3 FM and the Window Rock, AZ-licensed translator K249EM at 97.7 FM from Spirit Radio. The filing says the translators will relay San Juan Record’s classic hits “Red Rock 92” KBDX.

CLOSINGS

Salina-Manhattan, KS – Christopher Miller’s Meridian Media has closed a $1,755,917.55 deal to buy four stations from Monte Miller’s Rocking M Media in market No. 206. The stations include country “Y-93.7” KYEZ, adult hits “FM 104.9” KSAL-FM, news-talk KSA (1150) and classic hits “1560 The General 1560” KABI. Also included in the deal is the Salina, KS-licensed translator K294DI at 106.7 FM which simulcasts KSAL. And the Abilene, KS-licensed translator K240EX at 95.9 FM which simulcasts KABI. Christopher Miller is the son of Monte Miller. The younger Miller will retain a stake in his father’s company. Rocking M Media still owns CHR “92.7 The New Zoo” KZUH and “95.5 The Rock” KVOB in the Salina-Manhattan, KS market. Rocking M Media has also been operating three stations in the market under a local marketing agreement with Radioactive, but that arrangement will end on Dec. 2. Brokers: Gammon Miller

Long Island, NY – John Catsimatidis’ Red Apple Media has closed a $900,000 deal to buy talk WLIR-FM, Hampton Bays, NY (107.1) from Vincent Trapani’s VMT Media. Red Apple Media has already begun to simulcast talk WABC New York (770) on WLIR-FM.

Atlanta – Radio Spice has closed a $300,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WTZA (1010) from K&Z Broadcasting. The sale also includes the Norcross, GA-licensed translator W227DN at 93.3 FM. The filing shows a $270,000 promissory note was included in the sale. Radio Spice is a partnership that includes Gursharan Singh Thind, Sharanjit Kaur, and Sukhdev Singh Dhillon. Dhillon is among the owners of New Media Broadcasting which owns stations in California, Washington, and Texas. RC Media Partners’ earlier $352,000 deal to buy the station never closed. Salt Lake City – El Sembrador Ministries has closed a $260,000 deal to buy adult standards “Unforgettable 1430” KLO from John and Richard Webb’s KLO Broadcasting. The religious broadcaster will also pay an additional $6,500 to cover half of the bill for KLO’s towers to be painted. Also, the contract says the rare three-letter call sign KLO is not included in the sale. El Sembrador Ministries currently owns stations in California and Nevada. KLO Broadcasting still owns hot AC “Now 97.9” KBZN and ‘80s Hits “103.1 The Wave” KSQN in the Salt Lake market. Broker: Sandi Bergman

Oklahoma – Nancy Miller’s One Media has closed a $90,000 deal to buy full control of “Classic Hits 105.7” KRDR, Alva, OK. One Media previously held a 40% stake in the station. The deal buys out the 20% interests that have been held by Matt Adair, Terry Ross and Clint Claypole. One Media already owns talk/sports “95.3 The Cowboy” KWKN, Wakeeney, KS but its signal doesn’t overlap with KRDR.
