STATION SALES

New Mexico – Will Rooney, Rob Ramseyer, and Jim Garcia have filed a $300,000 deal to buy four stations from R.D. Hubbard’s M.T.D. The stations include classic rock “The Kid” KIDX, Ruidoso, NM (101.5); hot AC “The Mix 96.7” KNMB, Capitan, NM; CHR “B-107” KTUM, Tatum, NM; and classic country “W-105 Real Country” KWMW, Maljamar, NM. The filing says Rooney will hold 50% of the equity in the new ownership group, with Ramseyer and Garcia each holding 25%. Garcia’s Albuquerque Pan American Broadcasting currently owns talk KDAZ, Albuquerque (700) and two low-power TV stations in the market.

Wausau-Stevens Point, WI – Kevin Grap’s Central Wisconsin Broadcasting has filed a $250,000 deal to buy “Sports Radio 92.3” WOSQ and classic hits WDLB (1450) from Seehafer Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Marshfield, WI-licensed translator W254DL at 98.7 FM which simulcasts WDLB. The deal includes a promissory note valued at $240,000. Central Wisconsin Broadcasting already owns rock “107.5 The Rock” WCCN-FM, hot AC WPKG (92.7), and adult standards “Memories 1370 AM” WCCN in the region. Once the sale closes, Mark Seehafer will still own six other Wisconsin stations.

North Dakota – Wes Glass’ GlassWorks Broadcasting has filed a $200,000 deal to buy AC “The Mix 105.7” KDXN, South Heart, ND from Totally Amped. The sale includes a $160,000 promissory note. GlassWorks Broadcasting will operate the stations under a local marketing agreement starting November 1 until closing.

TRANSLATOR SALES

North Carolina – John Griffin and Gregory Baucom’s Shaggers Inc. has filed a $58,000 deal to buy the Monroe, NC-licensed translator W231DI at 94.3 FM from Jeffrey Sigmon. Shaggers currently owns the low-power oldies station WDZD-LP, Monroe, NC (99.1). One the sale closes, Sigmon’s Richburg Educational Broadcasters will still own four noncommercial stations in South Carolina.

CLOSINGS

Olean, NY – Ashley Midder’s XMT Entertainment has closed a $95,000 deal to buy classic hits WXMT (106.3) from Bob Lowe’s Twilight Broadcasting. The filing includes a $76,000 promissory note. Ashley ‘Jon B’ Midder is an Olean native who is also a radio veteran who previously worked in markets including Phoenix, San Antonio, and Ft Myers, FL, among others. He will operate WXMT under a local marketing agreement until closing.

Arizona – Christmas Brick Foundation has closed a deal to donate contemporary Christian KMUR, Bullhead City, AZ (88.3) to Advance Ministries.
