STATION SALES

Myrtle Beach, SC – Joseph Rice and Todd Folwer’s GT Radio has filed a $275,000 deal to buy WPGI (93.7) from Jeff Andrulonis’ Colonial Radio Group. WPGI simulcasts sister “93.9 Carolina Country” WMIR-FM. Once the sale closes, Colonial Radio Group will still own WMIR-FM, classic rock “The Drive” WNMB (900), and gospel “Rejoice 1200” WJXY in the Myrtle Beach market. Olean, NY – Kristin Cantrell’s Seven Mountains Media has filed a $200,000 deal to buy country standalone “The Eagle” WUDE (96.7) from Jeff Andrulonis’ Colonial Radio Group. The deal also includes three Olean, NY-licensed FM translators: W254BQ at 98.7 FM, W256BS at 99.1 FM, and W285ES at 104.9 FM. Seven Mountains Media already owns four other stations in market No. 223 including “Bigfoot Country” WOBF/WNBT-FM (97.1/104.5), country “95.7 The Pig” WPIG, and classic hits WOLY (1450).

Ft. Smith, AR – Darren Girdner’s G2 Media Group has filed a $34,000 deal to buy sports KHGG (1580) from Pharis Broadcasting. G2 Media Group already owns AC “Mix 105.1” KXMX and gospel “The Cross” KFSW (1650) in the Ft. Smith market. Once the sale closes, Pharis Broadcasting will still own rock “The Fort 94.5” KFPW-FM, classic hits “Kool 104.7” KQBK, sports “The Sports Hog 103.5” KHGG-FM, and talk “The Marshall 1230” KFPW in the market.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Arizona – Bustos Media has filed a $450,000 deal to buy the Tucson, AZ-licensed translator K233CI at 92.5 FM from RadioForSale. The deal includes a $425,000 promissory note. The translator currently relays the HD3 channel of Lotus Communications-owned classic rock KPLX (96.1) as Spanish CHR “Toño 92.5.” Bustos Media currently owns R&B oldies “106.3 The Groove” KTGV and news-talk “1030 The Voice” KVOI in the Tucson market. The new signal will give it either the option of simulcast KVOI on the FM dial or adding a third format by relaying an HD channel of KTGV. Broker: Kozacko Media Services

Fort Smith, AR – Darren Girdner’s G2 Media Group has filed an $18,241 deal to buy the Fort Smith, AR-licensed K244FJ at 96.7 FM from Edgewater Broadcasting. The signal will be used to simulcast KHGG (1580) which G2 is buying from Pharis Broadcasting in a separate $34m99 deal (see above). G2 Media Group already owns AC “Mix 105.1” KXMX and gospel “The Cross” KFSW (1650) in the Ft. Smith market.

CLOSINGS

Arizona – Karey and Vance Barbee’s New Star Broadcasting has closed a $200,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KXBK, Taylor, AZ (103.5). The sale includes a $125,000 promissory note. New Star Broadcasting already owns classic hits KVRQ, Muleshoe, TX (93.3).

Kansas – The Praise Network has closed a $16,000 deal to buy news-talk/classical KZCK, Colby, KS (88.1) from High Plains Public Radio license holder, the Kanza Society. Once the sale closes, the area will still be covered by High Plans Public Radio outlet KZNK, Brewster, KS (90.1).
