Cumulus Media Colorado Springs has entered into a new multi-year partnership with IMG College to broadcast Air Force Academy athletic events. The extension renews a partnership that dates back 35 years.

With the new agreement in place, Air Force football and men’s basketball will continue to be heard on “NewsRadio 740” KVOR Colorado Springs. Hockey and select women’s basketball games will air on cluster-mate “XTRA Sports Radio 1300” KCSF. Jim Arthur will remain the radio “Voice of the Falcons” and KVOR and KCSF will also broadcast coach’s shows for football, basketball and hockey.

“We’re thrilled, once again, to be broadcasting the Falcons’ games,” VP/market manager Scott Jones said. “Our partnership with IMG and the Academy is extremely important to our entire operation. We’re honored to bring listeners the play-by-play and I know Jim is very excited to continue his work in the broadcast booth. He’s one of the very best.”

“We are excited to continue our longstanding relationship with Cumulus Media to bring Air Force Academy Athletics to radio listeners,” Air Force IMG Sports Marketing general manager Paul Woody added. “Fans can continue to rely on the familiar voice of Jim Arthur to tell them everything they need to know about the Falcons.”

IMG College represents the multimedia rights for more than 90 collegiate institutions across the country and operates the nation’s largest independent sports radio network.
