The nationally-syndicated “The Bob & Tom Show” renews its deal with Cumulus Media and will continue to air across 18 of the company’s stations. The long-term agreement also brings the show to Abilene, TX, where it’s been added to classic rock “102 The Bear” KHXS.
The renewal of the program, which is syndicated by Cumulus Media’s Westwood One, extends a broadcast partnership of more than 20 years.
“Bob & Tom and team are the true Hall-of-Famers who bring the heat every morning,” Executive VP, Content & Audience Brian Philips said in a release. “As always, we are proud of all they do to drive ratings and distinguish this program from imitators. Thanks for the laughs and great characters, long may they reign across Cumulus markets.”
“The Bob & Tom Show,” which is based at iHeartMedia classic rock “Q95” WFBQ, has been on the following Cumulus Media classic rockers for 10-25 years: WOFX Cincinnati (25 years); WGLO Peoria, IL (24 years); KHKK Modesto-Stockton (23 years); WILZ Saginaw, MI (22 years); KKGL Boise, ID (21 years); WQHZ Erie, PA (20 years); KKFM Colorado Springs (17 years); and KGGO Des Moines (10 years).
“We’re thrilled to continue working with our long-term partner, Cumulus Media,” host Tom Griswold added. “We have a terrific team here at The Bob & Tom Show and we look forward to continuing to entertain listeners across the U.S. with the funniest morning content available, through our great Cumulus affiliate stations.”
“The Bob & Tom Show” launched from WFBQ in 1983 and entered national syndication several years later. It was originally distributed by Premiere Networks, and moved to Westwood One in 2014. Co-host Bob Kevoian retired in 2015.
