Cumulus Media programming executive Emily Boldon returns to the company’s Atlanta corporate headquarters to focus solely on its portfolio of AC stations and on the expansion if its proprietary music scheduling system Stratus.
Boldon, who has served as VP of AC Formats and Stratus Music Scheduling since 2006, returns from AC “Lite Rock 105” WWLI Providence, where Mary Ellen Kachinske has been named PD along with her oversight as OM of the cluster.
“If there was ever any doubt about Emily’s programming acumen, she proved her skills with the tremendous growth and continued success of Lite Rock 105 Providence while maintaining our company's leadership in the AC format,” VP/Programming John Dimick said in a release. “Now it's time to bring her back to Atlanta where she can continue to lead our AC stations and focus more of her time and effort on improving the company's Stratus system.”
Boldon has been in place at WWLI for nearly four years, where after overseeing the station on an interim basis, she was named day-to-day PD in November 2016, while continuing in her corporate role.
“I am very happy to be returning to Atlanta and Cumulus corporate headquarters,” Boldon added. “So much has changed since I joined the corporate team in 2006. It's a very exciting time in our company, with Brian Philips at the helm of programming. I look forward to contributing to the creativity and growth of Cumulus in 2020.”
