Entravision Communications will shut down Entravision Solutions, its national spot radio sales and marketing organization, effective at the end of 2019. The Spanish-language broadcaster has reached an agreement with Katz Radio Group to provide national spot advertising services to its owned and operated radio stations, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
Entravision Solutions currently reps over 300 owned and affiliated radio stations, radio networks and digital media platforms.
In addition to having Katz sell its national inventory, the change means Entravision will no longer rep national spot for roughly 250 radio stations owned by other broadcasters. However the company will continue to operate its audio network. Entravision’s network business includes syndication, unwired network spot and audio streaming through AudioEngage.
“Going forward, Entravision will continue to focus on the growth of its radio network business, and is committed to strengthen this platform for its affiliates and advertising partners,” the company said in a statement provided to Inside Radio.
A significant player in the Spanish language radio network business, Entravision represents some of the top talent in the industry, including Alex "El Genio" Lucas, as well as exclusive Spanish language radio rights for the NFL, including Sunday and Monday night football games, all playoff games, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl.
Entravision owns 49 radio stations and 55 TV stations.
