With the return of Dan McNeil and Connor McKnight to Entercom sports “The Score” WSCR Chicago (670), a new weekday lineup has been unveiled.
New to middays is Dan Bernstein, who moves to the earlier daypart from his 1-6pm shift. Bernstein is joined by McKnight for the 9am-1pm shift. Danny Parkins also switches slots, moving from middays to afternoons, paired with McNeil.
In a statement obtained by Chicago media reporter Robert Feder, OM Mitch Rosen said he and senior VP/market manager Jimmy de Castro “are pleased to announce that we have signed two Chicago radio free agents: the return of Score original Danny Mac… Adding these two players makes our all-star team even better. The Score will continue to be Chicago’s leader in live, local, Chicago sports talk. We continue to deliver great content to our listeners.”
McNeil had been with the station twice before. His most recent stint ended in 2014. For a short time he hosted mornings at Hubbard Broadcasting classic rock “The Drive” WDRV (97.1). He also hosts a podcast on Radio Misfits Podcast Network and has been heard on the air Sundays at “The Score” since January.
McKnight was the winner of the station’s talent search competition, “Score Search,” in 2009 and spent five years at the station. He was most recently a sports anchor at Cumulus talk WLS (890). WSCR recently scored the broadcast rights to the Chicago Bulls, which were dropped from WLS as part of Cumulus’ Chapter 11 restructuring.
With two talents being added to the on-air lineup, two have come off air, Matt Spiegel and Jason Goff. Feder says the two will continue with the station for weekend and fill-in duties.
