Geraldo Rivera

Geraldo Rivera says Cleveland is where he hangs his hat. “History put me here by random chance and now I am a part of this great city where I fell in love with my wife of 15 years, Erica Rivera,” the veteran journalist says in a statement announcing the arrival of “Geraldo in Cleveland,” which premieres Monday.

The weekday 9am broadcast on iHeartMedia news/talk “NewsRadio 1100” WTAM will cover a range of local and national headlines, including the latest business, political and pop culture news. Rivera will also host a weekly podcast for iHeartRadio.

The news release also says the Emmy- and Peabody-winning journalist will continue his national work as a Fox News correspondent-at-large.

“Geraldo Rivera is a once-in-a-generation broadcaster, storied journalist and tireless philanthropist,” Keith Hotchkiss, president of iHeartMedia’s North Ohio Region, said in a statement. “Bringing Geraldo to WTAM and making him part of an already solid foundation of talk show hosts and performers helps chart a new path for the future of WTAM and redefines our position in the Cleveland community.”

Rivera joins a revised iHeartMedia Cleveland lineup. Also, in the WTAM mix is former Indians pitcher Jensen Lewis. A current TV broadcast host for the team, Lewis will join Nick Camino and Mike Trivisonno on Sports Feed 2.0, weekdays from 6-7pm.

The full programming line-up includes “Cleveland’s Morning News with Wills & Snyder” (5-9am); “Geraldo in Cleveland” (9-10am); Glenn Beck (10am-noon); Rush Limbaugh (noon-3pm); Mike Trivisonno (3-6pm); and “Sport Feed 2.0” (6-7pm). The 7pm-midnight space is occupied by Indians baseball, Cavaliers basketball and Nick Camino.
