WHFX

iHeartMedia is wasting no time in reclaiming one of two FMs it was required to put into a divestiture trust earlier this year as part of its chapter 11 reorganization. Earlier this month the FCC approved a city of license change for urban AC “V-101.5” WSOL-FM from Brunswick, GA to Yulee, FL. That took it out of the Brunswick market into what’s technically considered the Jacksonville, FL market. The move allowed iHeartMedia to file to reclaim “107.7 The Fox” WHFX from the Sun and Snow Station Trust and still comply with the five-station ownership cap in Brunswick, market No. 261. If the FCC approves, WHFX will rejoin an iHeart cluster that also includes country WYNR (102.5), CHR “103-Q” WQGA, news-talk “Real Radio 1440” WGIG, gospel “Hallelujah 96.3” WBGA (1490).

One station is still in the Sun and Snow Station Trust: “Cat Country 100.3 FM” KSNR Grand Forks, ND-MN.
