DJ Funkmaster Flex (Funk Flex) has launched a new media hub, InFlexWeTrust. The new entity will house music collaborations between the groundbreaking DJ, who hosts night at MediaCo rhythmic CHR “Hot 97” WQHT New York, and emerging talent, Billboard reports.
Some of the up-and-coming artists he is working with include Pooh Shiesty, Lil TJay, Polo G, and CJ. Flex released “Lurkin,’” a track he did with the late King Von. Billboard says the video has been viewed more than 11 million times on YouTube. Flex has since collaborated with Fivio Foreign for “Game Time” and Rowdy Rebel on the track “Re Route.”
“I'm dedicated to doing some fun collabs,” Flex told Billboard. “All of the artists I'm working with are individuals whose work ethic and sound I believe in. DaBaby, Post Malone, King Von, Polo G, Lil Tjay, Lil Durk, Pooh Shiesty, Big30, CJ, 42 Dugg, and more fit the mold for what I envision. InFlexWeTrust is a content hub that operates through my eyes and is a platform I'm excited to introduce to hip-hop.”
Flex’s responsibilities at “Hot 97” have recently expanded as well. In February, he was named Digital Content Director for “Hot 97” and adult R&B sister WBLS (107.5), while also continuing his on-air role and position as Mix Show Coordinator at WBLS.
