After two days of stunting with a 24/7 broadcast of chirping birds, Hubbard Radio launches mainstream CHR “Party 96.3” on the Jupiter, FL-licensed translator W242CI, originating from the HD2 channel of WMBX, serving West Palm Beach, FL. It supplants rhythmic CHR “Beatz 96.3.”
As Inside Radio reported, earlier this week, the frequency aired the feathered fowl, along with the station phone number, asking if listeners were having “technical difficulties” with the broadcast and hearing birds. Recordings of callers asking if the music will return and saying they feel like they are in a rain forest were interspersed within the birds.
The new outlet will feature the syndicated Brooke and Jubal in morning drive, with a playlist of “today’s hits from all of the biggest artists, including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone, Khalid and Billie Eilish.”
Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach Senior VP/Market Manager Elizabeth Hamma commented in a release, “Today’s Hits and Brooke and Jubal in the morning on the new Party 96.3 (are) a perfect combination. We’re pleased to have Brooke and Jubal back in our cluster and to offer West Palm an entertaining show and a whole lot of today’s music.” Added PD Leo Baldwin, “We are very excited to bring a station that plays everyone’s favorite songs in one place and is just one big party. We know today’s listener wants less interruptions, so we promise to play less commercials than anyone else.”
