As more radio stations look to grow their podcast portfolio, digital audio technology provider StreamGuys is preparing to unveil new streamlined podcast management tools. StreamGuys is launching a podcast Content Management System (CMS) allowing stations to manage podcast and side channel creation, as well as set server-side ad insertion.
The company will reveal these new capabilities and others at the upcoming Podcast Movement conference later this month in Anaheim, CA.
As part of the podcast CMS, StreamGuys will offer clients “SGrecast,” a system that allows users to select a podcast or episode and embed it in a media player to share on social media or post online. Producers can select background colors, fonts and icons to spotlight the content and the player integrates with subscriptions on iTunes, Google Play and RSS.
Stream Guys’ Global Sales exec Matt Kellogg says the new capabilities are a direct response to clients’ requests for better podcast tools. “Last year at Podcast Movement it was very clear that there was a significant hunger for podcasting coming from enterprise companies, including large radio station groups, but many questions and concerns remained about how to effectively build a podcasting strategy,” Kellog said.
“Our philosophy at StreamGuys has always been to provide high intelligence in the solution, an ability to monetize the solution and white globe support and scalability for our partners,” he added.
StreamGuys plans to demo its new system in the conference’s Pro Networking Lounge.
