Digital audio advertising platform DAX names industry veteran Les Hollander Chief Growth Officer for the United States and Canada.
Hollander assumes responsibility for sales development and brand recognition strategy, reporting to DAX U.S. Chief Executive Officer Matt Cutair and DAX Worldwide Commercial Operations Director Guy Jones. Hollander is tasked with enhancing DAX’s programmatic buying channels and podcast publisher offering, as well as educating the buying community to further develop and expand DAX in the region.
“At a time of significant growth, DAX required a Chief Growth Officer with an in-depth knowledge and proven expertise in scaling digital audio businesses,” Cutair said in a release. “Having previously worked with Les at Pandora, I know from experience that he is perfectly placed to strengthen our strategic partnerships and help meet existing and future client demand. Les’ wealth of knowledge in the audio space will be an invaluable asset in accelerating our ongoing growth strategy and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Hollander joins DAX from Spotify where he was Global Head of Audio Monetization. He joined the company in 2013 as Senior Director of Audio Sales for Spotify U.S. Prior to Spotify, Hollander was VP of Digital Sales at Gannett and VP of Sales/Director, Eastern Region Radio Sales, at Pandora. From 2004-2008, he was Senior VP/Regional Manager at CBS Radio after seven years in sales positions at Clear Channel.
“DAX is a world-class organization that strives for innovation in the digital audio advertising industry, which made my decision to join the company very easy,” Hollander added. “I look forward to consolidating DAX’s current successes as well as driving future developments across the U.S. and Canada.”
