Beck Levin

Conservative talkers Glenn Beck and Mark Levin are combining forces for a new multiplatform media entity that they say will reach 165 million people. Levin’s CRTV and Beck’s TheBlaze have merged to form Blaze Media. The combo is being touted as the largest independent, traditionally conservative multiplatform media company in the U.S.

That larger reach is expected to put the operation on firmer footing and allow it to expand its programming lineup.

The marriage of the two media outlets places “The Glenn Beck Program” and “LevinTV” under the same umbrella. Subscribers of both outlets immediately gain access to programming across both digital networks, which includes programs such as “Louder with Crowder,” “The News and Why it Matters,” and “America,” hosted by Eric Bolling. Blaze Media plans to expand its lineup of offerings for cable and satellite TV audiences.

“The combination of the exceptional roster of TheBlaze and CRTV talent means Blaze Media will now be as broad and ideologically diverse as the audiences we serve,” Beck said. He went on to say the new media platform will be home to “conservatives, libertarians, constitutionalists, and more” and that Blaze Media hosts “will have differences, but we share a common belief in free expression, honest discourse and a society founded in the principles of the Bill of Rights.”

Levin was not shy in explaining the reasoning behind combining conservative forces with Beck. “Tens of millions of Americans have had it with the biased, ideologically-driven mainstream media outlets that sanctimoniously advance their own agendas under the guise of ‘news’ and ‘journalism,’ Levin said. “Conservatives actually believe in a free press and the rest of the Constitution. This is why I started LevinTV, which grew into the CRTV digital network. In order to further expand and offer the public an alternative to liberal media group-think, I'm very excited about the merger of TheBlaze and CRTV.”

Tyler Cardon, who served as president of The Blaze and Gaston Mooney, CRTV president, will share leadership responsibilities of Blaze Media as co-presidents.

Beck’s 9am-noon Eastern daily broadcast radio show is syndicated by Premiere Networks to 400 stations. Levin’s 6-9pm Eastern radio show is syndicated to 400 stations via Westwood One.
