...With the Philadelphia area tapped as one of the last two stops on Garth Brooks “Dive Bar” tour, Beasley Media Group’s WXTU rebrands as “Garth 92.5.” Brooks is playing an intimate show at Prospector’s Grille & Saloon in nearby Mt. Laurel, NJ on Monday night (Dec. 2). WXTU is broadcasting live from the venue ahead of the evening’s concert, while playing plenty of the legendary country artist’s music all day.

...Also hitting the rebrand for the day button is iHeartMedia classic rock WPYX Albany, which flipped to “TSO 106” in celebration of the upcoming Trans-Siberian Orchestra show at the Time Union Center Dec. 19. “After extensive research, we found that the time is right for an all Trans-Siberian Orchestra radio station,” Senior VP Programming and WPYX PD John Cooper said in a release. “TSO 106 is officially on the air, featuring the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Band members are featured as guest DJs picking the music they love. There’s been nothing like this on the radio before.”

...The Thanksgiving weekend broadcast of Bill O’Reilly’s interview with President Trump, offered by Key Networks, was broadcast on nearly 200 radio stations nationwide, including in 18 of the Top 20 markets. The one-hour special featured a discussion on the latest issues impacting the country and was picked up by numerous media outlets, including the New York Times, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and CNN, while also being covered internationally.

...The “Ellen K Morning Show” on iHeartMedia AC KOST Los Angeles (103.5) will help kick off the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) fourth annual day of charitable giving on “Giving Tuesday” (Dec. 3). “Ever since CHLA took such great care of my son years ago, they have become like family to me and my KOST 103.5 family,” Ellen K said in a release. “There’s no place we would rather be on Giving Tuesday. We are honored to have the opportunity to talk with the wonderful doctors, nurses and patient families and help spread the word about this amazing hospital, which is a jewel of our city.” Throughout Tuesday morning, Ellen K and KTLA-TV morning news anchor Megan Henderson will speak with patient families, hospital leaders and special guests and encourage listeners and viewers to donate to support the hospital.

...The call for applications is open for the Benztown 50 List of Radio’s Biggest Imaging Voices. The list, which will be revealed in February 2020, will be based on several criteria, including number of radio station affiliates, station size and market. “Amid the growing demand for great audio content, radio’s premier voiceover talent are more essential than ever in defining audio brands that break through an increasingly competitive listening environment,” President Dave “Chachi” Denes said in a release. “As a company committed to creating the highest quality audio content, we are proud to give these professionals and artists recognition for the important role they play in the health and growth of our industry.” Voice talent can apply through Jan. 10, 2020 at
