...Green Day is latest addition to the lineup for the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Sept. 20-21. The annual event, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Cage The Elephant, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, French Montana, Halsey, Heart, HER, Hootie & The Blowfish, Marshmello, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons and Steve Aoki with special guests Darren Criss and Monsta X, Tim McGraw and Zac Brown Band. Each night’s performances will broadcast live on iHeart radio stations across 150+ markets. The CW Network will broadcast a two-night television special Wednesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct. 3.
...Cumulus Media urban contemporary “Coast 97.3” WMNX Wilmington, NC hosts the first annual “Punt, Pass & Kick” competition. Beginning Friday, Sept. 13, four local high schools have been selected to host the competition during halftime at their respective varsity games. Winning contestants will receive $10,000, half of which will be awarded to the school’s athletic program. “We look forward to seeing everyone out at these games this fall,” VP/Market Manager Eric McCart said in a release. “We’re very excited to be a part of the half-time experiences at these upcoming gridiron match-ups.”
...Ellen K, morning host at iHeartMedia AC KOST Los Angeles (103.5), will be the voice of the Emmy Awards show. The veteran air talent and voiceover artist is also the voice of the Academy Awards and the Grammys. The 2019 Emmy Awards show is Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will air on Fox.
