...Salem Radio Network White House Correspondent Greg Clugston is racking up the frequent flyer miles on Air Force One. Clugston will again accompany President Trump as he embarks on a three-day trip that leaves Washington on Saturday, Oct 17. He will join Trump at seven rallies through Tuesday, where he will file exclusive reports for SRN News and Townhall News. In other network news, “America First” host Sebastian Gorka had his Twitter account locked after he posted about Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter and the FBI, according to Breitbart.

...Frank Ski, now hosting afternoons on Howard University adult R&B WHUR-FM Washington (96.3), is also a sought-after songwriter and producer. Ski just signed a global publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Ski’s music catalogue encompasses hip-hop, rap, gospel and Baltimore club music. His songs have been sampled in “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion and “In This House” by Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. “Frank Ski is a legend in hip-hop,” Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO Jon Platt said, according to Music Business Worldwide. “It is no surprise that his talent as a DJ and producer continues to make history, and we look forward to creating more opportunities for his music.”

...Kris Kaylin, weekend personality at Cumulus Media hip-hop/R&B “Z93 Jamz” WWWZ Charleston, was profiled by “News 2” WCDB-TV. In the piece, Kaylin tells the story of how she got hired at the station, how she uses her platform to help the community, and her future media goals. “My next stop is a full-time on-air in a midday position, definitely moving towards being a program director. Television is definitely a next step for me as well,” she says in the piece, which can be viewed HERE.

...Veteran programmer John Shomby has opened up his own consultancy, working with air talent, programmers and recording artists. Shomby was recently named Talent and Industry Consultant of United Stations “Backstage Country” program. He previously served as Director of Programming for Westwood One’s Nash Network and as PD of Cumulus Media country WKDF Nashville, exiting the company in April.

...Audible has acquired a pair of podcast-related URLs that had been on the block for more than a million dollars. The Amazon-owned company has secured both and, which both now redirect to the Audible website. The news was first reported by Domain Investing. In a move to capture some of the fast-growing podcast market, Audible unveiled a new low-cost subscription product in August called Audible Plus. It will provide access to an array of podcasts as well as Audible Originals podcasts and audiobooks that span genres, lengths and formats. The list includes 68,000 hours of content and more than 11,000 titles.

...Beasley Media Group Detroit personalities Mason and Angie Star (WDMK), Gello (WMGC) and Randi Myles (The Detroit Praise Network) will host a Zoom conference call with community leaders to discuss ways to encourage listeners residing in Metro Detroit area to get out and vote. The “Solutions Not Slogans” session will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7pm. “We are excited to host a video conference designed to provide an opportunity for our radio listeners to speak directly with city officials to create solutions to get people out to vote,” Mason and Angie Starr said in a release.
