...Local Media San Diego adjusts adult hits KFMB-FM San Diego, rebranding the station to “100.7 Big FM” with Garrett Michaels, PD at modern rock sister “91X” XETRA-FM, adding that role at KFMB-FM. New call letters of KFBG are pending for the station, which Local Media San Diego picked up from Tegna in a deal that closed in March. “100.7 Big FM promises to be different, unconventional, bold, and where ‘we play anything,’” a release from the station read. “Expect the biggest artists on 100.7 Big FM like Aerosmith, Prince, Queen, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi, Adele, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Phil Collins, Coldplay, the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and hundreds more. The 100.7 Big FM music library is so vast and expansive; it is unpredictable what you will hear next.”
...“The Streetz Morning Takeover,” comprised of Mo Quick, Yung Joc and Shawty Shawty, enters national syndication via Superadio. The show is based at Core Communications Hip-Hop “Streetz 94.5,” which airs on the Atlanta-licensed translator W233BF at 94.5. “Streetz 94.5” operator and show creator Steve Hegwood says the show “has all the bells and whistles needed for great morning radio, including tested and proven benchmarks backed by a great team who lives and appreciates the hip-hop lifestyle.” It has been cleared in Charlotte, Norfolk and Albany, GA.
...Entercom sports “97.3 The Fan” KWFN San Diego, flagship radio home of the San Diego Padres, adds a new program “Padres Social Hour,” hosted by Padres radio voice Jesse Agler, Monday through Thursday at 7pm. “As the flagship home of the San Diego Padres, we’re excited to partner with the team to bring premium baseball content to loyal fans,” Senior VP/Market Manager Karyn Cerulli said in a release. “‘Padres Social Hour’ will keep listeners abreast of their favorite team and keep them close to the off-the-field action as we eagerly await their return to the field.”
...The Yea! Networks-syndicated “Tino Cochino Radio” is added to afternoons at Radio One CHR “Radio Now 100.9” WNOW-FM Indianapolis and CHR sister “92.1 Radio Now” KROI Houston. Dustin Kross was most recently heard in afternoons at WNOW-FM, prior to his exit as part of the recent cuts at the company. In Houston, “On-Air Laura” moves from afternoons to middays.
...Townsquare Media urban AC KISX Tyler-Longview rebrands from “Hot 107.3 Jams” to “107.3 Kiss FM.” As part of the rebranding, the station adds the Reach Media-syndicated “Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” replacing the Premiere Networks-syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show.”
