...An “evening of drinks, dinner and conversation” is coming to Chicago’s Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant, Sunday, July 21, as Cumulus talk WLS-AM 890 presents “Stone Free: Mancow & Roger Stone Uncensored,” with the on-air personality Mancow Muller and Trump’s former advisor Roger Stone, who’s awaiting trial on charges of obstruction, false statements and witness tampering. Attendees with an upgraded “Cocktail Hour” ticket will have a pre-dinner drink with Stone as he demonstrates how to make the perfect martini; with a seated dinner at 5pm; and a conversation with Mancow and Stone and audience Q&A. A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Roger Stone’s defense fund. Tix range from $100 to $500 at WLSAM.com, with the high point including a seat at Stone’s table for dinner.

...Early 2000s alt rock band Guster will headline the Riverfest Seaside Music Festival, sponsored by “Boston’s Independent Radio, 92.5 the River” WXRV. The station specializes in alternative, acoustic, blues, folk and reggae. Held Aug. 24, noon-6pm, the Festival gathers at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA, presented by Bud Light. Also performing: Noah Kahan, Mt. Joy and Tall Heights, along with food trucks, multiple vendors and interactive children’s play area KidZone with inflatables, face painting and activities. For adults, there’s the Bud Light Build-a-Bar and Tito’s Handmade Vodka pop-up lounge. “We are incredibly excited about this year’s festival and the opportunity to showcase a line-up with strong New England connections,” said WXRV GM Donald St. Sauveur. “We’ve always considered the River to be Guster’s hometown radio station and have had the opportunity to showcase their music in a number of different venues. We believe Stage Fort Park in Gloucester will be one of the best yet.”

...Entravision Communications joins AL & CM Broadcasting for an anniversary concert for Alex “El Genio” Lucas to celebrate 30 years as a radio broadcaster. His syndicated morning show airs on Entravision’s “Jose 97.5 & 107.1” KLYY Los Angeles and its “La Suavecita” radio network in 13 markets nationwide. “The show captures a unique mix of music and conversation with Alex Lucas known by his nickname El Genio (Genie in English),” Entravision said in a release. “He shares inspiring and distinctive messages to motivate and enlighten listeners, (with) personal empowerment and positive reinforcement, using stories and quotes to build self-esteem, family values and guide audiences through moral and ethical dilemmas.” On Aug. 18, at 11am, 30 acts and performers will gather, including Ezequiel Peña and his dancing horses, La Sonora Santanera, La Original Banda el Limon, Los Muecas and Los Freddys. The concert takes place at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena, known for Mexican rodeos and Latin concerts. “This is a huge milestone for such a great personality. Alex Lucas is well-regarded in the communities he serves and the radio broadcast industry,” said Nestor Rocha, VP Audio Programming for Entravision.
