...As part of RAB’s Business Accelerated initiative, the next live video presentation will be “Radio Works for Home Improvement.” The session for RAB members will feature Grant Farnsworth, President, The Farnsworth Group; Anna Koehler, Senior Account Manager, Hubbard Broadcasting; and Ruth Wardrop, Senior Marketing Consultant, Seven Mountains Media. ...The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame has 27 nominees for this year’s inductions, and they’re revealing them one at a time on their Facebook group. Nominees with strong country ties include Premiere Networks-syndicated host Bobby Bones, Ryman Hospitality Properties WSM Nashville (650) morning host Bill Cody, former SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction and Willie’s Roadhouse programmer Kyle Cantrell, former Bristol Broadcasting WXBQ-FM Johnson City (96.9) PD Bill Hagy and longtime host/producer Shannon McCombs. Organization members may vote for this year’s nominees through Monday, March 15. The classes of 2020 and 2021 will be honored in a combined ceremony slated for Saturday, July 31.

...“Channel Q,” Entercom’s LGBTQ+ Talk Radio Network, partners with LA Pride and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative to present an in-depth panel discussion on corporate responsibility to the LGBTQ+ community. The event will be held live on Thursday, March 11 from 11am-12:30pm (PT) and will feature panelists from Nike, JetBlue, T-Mobile, Mastercard, Unilever, Nationwide Arena and Entercom. Registration information for the event can be viewed HERE. “Channel Q,” debuted in October 2018 and originates on the HD2 channel of CHR KAMP Los Angeles and is heard nationwide on the platform and on HD channels in 32 markets including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas.

...Advertising Week New York will to take place Oct. 18-21 as a hybrid event. “Since launching back in 2004, the event has taken many shapes,” an announcement read. “But this year’s hybrid event will truly be one of a kind. ...Townsquare Media Atlantic City-Cape May raised more than $32,000 during its “Feed a Family Radiothon” on Friday, March 5. The money raised will benefit families in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties, which lead the state in food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. The Community FoodBank is handling money raised by the radiothon, and a local Kia and Nissan dealership has pledged matching funds.

...Conservative talk show host Todd Starnes will utilize Liberty University’s Marie F. Green Hall as one of his broadcast locations for his USA Radio Networks-syndicated program. Starnes will broadcast his program from a studio adjacent to the campus radio station. “We are always looking for professional opportunities a little closer to home, particularly in the COVID-19 world we’re in, because a lot of external opportunities have evaporated,” Department of Digital Media and Journalism Chair John Rost said in a release. “The ability to have the high-level network operation of something like the Starnes Media Group right next door to our 90.9 The Light radio station creates countless opportunities for students.”
