...Highlands College, a biblical higher education institution in Birmingham, is the latest recipient of the Rick & Bubba Show's Charity Charge. Each month a member of the show selects a philanthropic organization which will benefit from the fundraiser. Michael “Helmsey” Helms, who is an evening student at Highlands College, selected the school to show the impact gradates of the college are having throughout the world. Highlands College received a $4,000 donation from the most recent fundraising efforts. Rick & Bubba’s Charity Charge has donated over $31,000 to its recipients since its start in October 2018. The syndicated morning show is based at SummitMedia country WZZK-FM Birmingham (104.7).

...Joey Hudson, host of “The Morning Answer” on Salem Media Group talk “The Answer 94.5 FM” WGTK-FM Greenville, SC, is featured in the CNN Headline News documentary “Chained by a Serial Killer.” The program, which airs Saturday, June 15, explores the case of Upstate South Carolina realtor Todd Kohlhepp’s double life as both a respected citizen and a serial killer. “I got to know parents of one of the victims, and helped raise awareness of these horrible crimes which, thankfully, helped lead to Kohlhepp’s 2016 arrest and conviction before others fell victim to his evil,” Hudson said in a release.

...LiveXLive revenue increased 19% year-over-year from $9.0 to $9.2 million, the company said in announcing its fiscal year and fourth quarter results. The company saw an increase from $1.4 in Q3 2019 million to $2.2 million in the fourth quarter of the company’s fiscal year. “We executed in fiscal 2019, delivering record financial performance each quarter and growing our paid subscriber base over 50% year over year, which today surpassed 720,000 paid subscribers,” Robert Ellin, CEO and Chairman said in a release. “In addition, we also drove record growth across active users, total livestream views and number of live festivals streamed.” LiveXLive entered into a partnership with iHeartMedia in March to video stream a number of the company’s marque events, iHeartRadio’s ALTer Ego, iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Wango Tango, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, and the daytime stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

...Entercom country “US 101” WUSY Chattanooga was honored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the 2019 Spotlight Award. The award recognizes fundraising efforts of the station’s “Heart Strings For Hope” event that raised more than $1 million for the hospital over the course of a decade. WUSY was honored at the charity’s annual “Volunteer Awards Dinner” in Memphis, TN on June 12.

...Celebrity chef Carla Hall joins the lineup of talent influencers at Skyview Networks and ABC Radio. Hall is known as a competitor on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and “Top Chef: All Stars” as well as a former co-host of ABC’s Emmy-award winning daily lifestyle show “The Chew.”
