...Salem Radio Network’s 24/7 news services SRN News and Townhall News will provide live broadcast coverage of the 2020 Presidential and Vice Presidential debates. Three Presidential debate locations and dates have been confirmed: Sept. 9, 2020 at the University of Notre Dame; Oct. 15, 2020 at the University of Michigan; and Oct. 22, 2020 at Belmont University. The one Vice Presidential debate will occur on Oct. 7, 2020 at the University of Utah. SRN’s White House correspondent Greg Clugston will provide analysis, and SRN talk hosts Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dr. Sebastian Gorka and Larry Elder will offer opinions and perspective as each debate unfolds.
...Entercom “Kiss Country 99.9” WKIS Miami revealed the lineup for the “Kiss Country 99.9 Chili CookOff,” Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. Scheduled to perform at this year’s “Chili CookOff” are Kane Brown, Old Dominion, Ryan Hurd, Travis Denning, Caylee Hammack, Noah Schnacky and Ryan Griffin. “To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we are proud to be hosting two of the biggest chart-toppers in country music,” Senior VP/Market Manager Keriann Worley said in a release. “Kane Brown and Old Dominion join a remarkable list of iconic performers who have graced our stage during the past 34 years, and we are so grateful to our loyal fans who have made this a premier country music event.”
...iHeartMedia Springfield, MA will host the annual “Love to the Rescue Radiothon” on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 17-18, from 6am- 7pm, which benefits the Springfield Shriners Hospitals for Children. “Zito & Kera,” morning hosts on hot AC “Mix 93.1” WHYN-FM and Jim Polito, morning man and talk sister WHYN (560), will broadcast live with interviews and testimonials from current and former patients, families, staff and Shriners. “The Love to the Rescue Radiothon is our largest annual fundraiser, and we are very grateful to the teams and on-air personalities from iHeartMedia who donate their time and talent to produce this event every year,” Karen Motyka, director of Development at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Springfield said in a release.
...Dave Stieren, afternoon host at Alpha Media talk KFQD Anchorage (750), has accepted a position with Alaska governor Mike Dunleavy, where he will serve as a Community Relations Liaison. Stiren’s last day on the air will be Oct. 18, the Anchorage Daily News reports. “Strong communication efforts are critical to our goal of working with the residents of Alaska to build a robust future for our state,” Dunleavy said in a statement. “To do that, we need communications that easily and accurately flow both ways. Mr. Stieren will serve as the bridge between Alaskans and this administration. He will be an effective combination of communication and outreach.”
