...Cumulus Media modern rock WKQX Chicago (101.1) welcomes twenty one pilots as they take over the station as part of their Takeøver Tour, that features multiple dates and venues in cities across the country. This week, lead vocalist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun will take over the WKQX studio every weekday at 12pm with a specially curated playlist of their favorite songs, including deep cuts. They will also be introducing their own songs on the air throughout each day, while sharing special stories from writing, recording and performing.
...Bonneville sports “The Fan 104.3” KKFN Denver adds “The Fan’s Avalanche Postgame Show” and “The Fan’s Nuggets Postgame Show,” which will air following every regular season and postseason game. KKFN does not carry game broadcasts, but adds the content to round out its daily coverage of the franchises. Additionally, the station will launch two weekly digital programs, “The Fan’s Nuggets Fast Break” and “The Fan’s Avalanche Face Off.” “We’ve received consistent feedback that our listeners want more Avalanche and Nuggets content,” PD Raj Sharan said in a release. “This is the most content The Fan has produced on the Avalanche and Nuggets in our more than 26-year history, and we’re hopeful these great fan bases will enjoy listening and watching.”
...The presenters for the iHeartRadio “Fiesta Latina,” which takes place Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Amway Center in Orlando, have been revealed. Celebrity presenters include actor, musician, model and TV personality Carlos Ponce; Univision TV host Aleyda Ortiz; Telemundo TV host Ana Jurka; Puerto Rico media personality Jay Fonseca; “Rumba 100.3” hosts Gaby Calderon and Jenny Castillo and iHeartRadio’s Accion Spanish News Network personality Hector Marcano. The live event, which features performances from Wisin & Yandel, Prince Royce, Luis Fonsi, Natti Natasha, Zion & Lennox, Lunay, Mariah Angeliq and J Balvin, will be streamed at LiveXLive.com.
...Spanish Broadcasting System announces the return of “El Dia Nacional de la Banda” on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 followed by “Calibash Las Vegas” on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022. Both events will take place at T-Mobile Arena and will feature some of the biggest regional Mexican and pop/urbano music artists. “Latin music fans no longer have to wonder if Calibash Las Vegas and El Dia Nacional de la Banda will return,” Alessandra Alarcón, President, SBS Entertainment said in a release. “We can proudly confirm we’re bringing both events back – bigger than ever before – with many mind-blowing, unforgettable surprises throughout the weekend. I can’t guarantee what will happen in Vegas will stay in Vegas.”
...Veritone creator of the aiWARE Enterprise AI platform, announces a new collaborative effort with Bauer Media UK, part of the Bauer Media Group, to have their project management, programming and strategy teams use the Veritone Discovery solution to quickly and efficiently find audio buried in content libraries. Bauer Media UK deployed Veritone Discovery, an AI service that can automatically pull relevant content based on spoken words, images, logos and more to access and track live audio broadcasted across its stations more quickly. “Broadcast data can be difficult to resurface after it’s already aired, making it tough for media companies to utilize their existing resources for campaigns,” David Candler, Senior Director, Customer Solutions at Veritone said in a release. “It’s been amazing to see the impact of our Discovery solution on Bauer’s team’s day to day work, and the value of their creative campaigns.”
