Entercom “105.1 The Buzz” KRSK Portland, OR will launch new drivetime shows next week as the hot AC aims to improve its market position. Liz Luda and Mike Vezzola are paired as the new morning show while Jamie Tanchyk rejoins the company as Assistant Program Director and afternoon host. The new drive time shows debut Tuesday, Feb 25.
“Building a strong on-air team is why Entercom Portland is the platinum standard for our listeners and advertisers,” Senior VP/Market Manager Kim Martinez said in a release. “Liz and Mike’s fun and energetic chemistry coupled with Jamie’s exuberant on-air style and programming prowess cements 105.1 The Buzz as the go-to for young, active listeners in Portland.”
Luda arrives from Flinn Broadcasting CHR “Q107.5” WHBQ-FM Memphis, where she served as morning co-host and Promotions Director. Vezzola was most recently with CHR sister “103.3 Amp FM” WODS Boston and also worked at the company’s rhythmic CHR “Hot 93.7” WZMX and hot AC “Mix 96” WTIC-FM Hartford. They succeed Buck Wise, who exited in October 2019.
“I am so excited to be joining the Entercom family, especially in Portland,” Luda remarked. “I love [OM/PD] Scott [Roddy] and Kim’s vision and know that we can deliver great content that audiences can relate to.”
Vezzola added, “I've been fortunate to work with some incredible people throughout my career in several New England markets, and am beyond excited to head out west and begin the next chapter with the extremely talented Liz.”
Tanchyk rejoins Entercom after being let go in November from his post as rhythmic hot AC “Hot 103.7” KHTP Seattle during the company’s recent cuts. He succeeds Sheryl Stewart, who recently exited “The Buzz.”
Middays at “The Buzz” are handled by Dustin “Haze” Monroe, midday personality at CHR sister “Now 96.3” KNOU St. Louis.
