Changes at iHeartMedia’s Tulsa cluster include the launch of “Patriot 1300 AM Real Talk” KAKC. The station was previously one of two “Buzz”-branded sports stations the company operated in the market. The other, KTBZ, dropped the moniker in August. And with the loss of Fox Sports Radio programming to Griffin Communications “1170 The Blitz” KFAQ, which launched Sept. 17, KTBZ is now simulcasting the “94.7 The Ref” KREF Oklahoma City.
“Patriot 1300 AM Real Talk” will carry a mostly syndicated lineup including Glenn Beck, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, Lee Mathews and Charlie Kirk, along with a simulcast of Lee Michaels’ KTOK Oklahoma City-based program in late afternoons.
“We are really excited to launch this new format in Tulsa and deliver compelling conservative content to our very active audience,” Area President Jon Phillips said in a release. “Having Lee Mathews anchor the 5-7pm slot will be a great addition, as he is closely aligned with everything that happens at the capital in Oklahoma City.”
The new KAKC weekday lineup includes: “This Morning with Gordon Deal” (4-8am); Glenn Beck (8-11am); “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” (11am-2pm); Charlie Kirk (2-5pm); Lee Mathews (5-7pm); “The Jesse Kelly Show” (7-10pm); “The Joe Pags Show” (10pm-12am); and “Coast to Coast with George Noory” (12-4am).
