Townsquare Media talk “New Jersey 101.5” WKXW Trenton will hold a special Town Hall broadcast confronting the crisis of online child predators and how children and parents are affected.

The Town Hall broadcast is Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7pm and will moderated by Special Projects Director and Morning News Anchor Eric Scott. Panelists include New Jersey State Police Lt. John Pizzuro, Commander of the NJSP’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force; Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni; and Dr. Steven Tobias, Director of the Center for Child & Family Development in Morristown, NJ.

“Sadly, the holidays are an opportune time for cyber child predators. Our award-winning news department has assembled timely and important strategies to protect kids, whether on social media sites, online apps or video game platforms,” Brand Manager Anne Gress said in a release. “Keeping children safe is a top priority of New Jersey 101.5, and this information is must-hear (and must-see on Facebook Live) before buying kids any digital holiday gifts.”

Scott, Pizzuro, Gramiccioni and Tobias will answer live, call-in questions from listeners throughout the hour. As part of the Facebook Live stream, New Jersey State Police Troopers will be available to answer questions and provide resources.

The station’s news department will also produce and air special news segments from investigative reporter David Matthau in the days leading up to the Town Hall broadcast. Online versions of the stories will be housed on the “New Jersey 101.5” website.
