Suzanne Goucher, longtime President of the Maine Broadcasters Association (MAB), passed away unexpectedly after being hospitalized for an infection. Goucher joined the MAB in 1994 as a part-time executive director. Read more

Former longtime PD of Cumulus Media country WWKI Indianapolis (100.5) Dave Broman has passed away at the age of 68. Broman’s radio career began at the age of 16 at WCRD Bluffton, IN. Prior to joining WWKI in 1986, Broman worked at a dozen stations, including WGGL Houghton, MI, while he was attending Michigan Tech University. Read more

Veteran Rochester traffic reporter Tom George died Friday, Jan. 14 after a brief illness. George, who reported traffic on local radio and TV stations for 45 years, was 75. He also served as the voice of the Rochester Americans AHL Hockey team for nearly two decades.   Read more

Jim Colony, morning host at Audacy sports “93.7 The Fan” KDKA Pittsburgh, will retire after Friday’s show (Jan. 21). Colony has been in mornings since the station’s flip to sports in 2010. He will continue with the station as a guest host and will continue to post stories to the station’s website. Read more

Bob Pickett, one of the original hosts of the WBLS New York public affairs program “Open Line,” has passed away. Picket, an attorney by trade, hosted the program with Bob Slade and James Mtume, who also passed away in recent years.  Read more

Marci Stanley-Boger (Billie Marshall) is named PD and afternoon host at Cumulus Media classic rock “I-95” WIXV Savannah. She comes to the station from Alpha Media rock WFXH Hilton Head, SC (106.1), where she hosted afternoons. Stanley-Boger previously hosted middays at the former “Rewind 107.9” WRWH Savannah. Brian Bessing, longtime Buffalo radio and TV sports reporter and host, has passed away earlier this week at the age of 64. After his time in upstate New York, Blessing relocated to Las Vegas and has most recently been hosting “Sportsbook Radio” and “Vegas Hockey Hotline” on Pollack Broadcasting sports KSHP Las Vegas (1400), the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
