Steve Hausmann is retiring after 18 years as co-host of the “Bee Morning Coffee Club” at Entercom country WBEE Rochester, NY. He plans to exit the industry Aug. 30, after five decades in radio. On the station’s website, his bio notes, “As a boy he would dream of being on the radio. That dream became reality in 1968 when, at age 18, he was hired at a small station in his suburban Boston hometown. While studying at Emerson College, he worked summers at WHDH in Boston. Upon graduating, he earned his first full-time gig at that major station.” Hausmann then moved to Rochester with 10 years as weekend sports anchor at WHEC-TV10, before joining WBEE in 2001.
OM Bob Barnett said he is searching for a successor to team with morning drive co-hosts Jeremy Newman and TJ Sharp.
