Tom Brenner, former co-host of the “Good Morning Rodeo” on Townsquare Media country WJOD Cedar Rapids (103.3), died Monday after suffering from COVID-19 for the past weeks. Brenner, 69, was part of the “Good Morning Rodeo” from 1994 until his retirement in 2017.
“Tom was an integral part of the success of WJOD for nearly 25 years before his retirement,” read a statement posted on the station’s website. “His heart was bigger than most. His love and compassion for friends (including the furry ones), co-workers, and the Milwaukee Brewers was undeniable. Tom’s passing is not just a loss for the radio world, but a loss for mankind.”
Brenner’s radio career spanned more than 40 years and also included time with WTCH and WOWN Shawano, WI; WTDY Madison, WI; and WDBQ-AM Dubuque, IA.
