According to a recent Reuters report, 57% of the Mexican population listened to podcasts in the last month. With that sort of opportunity, Acast is expanding into the market. To lead the effort Acast has hired Sergio Domínguez as Managing Director of outreach into the country, with a new office in Mexico City. He most recently was Corporate Sales Director for the magazine Publimetro. Domínguez will work closely with Brian Danzis, Acast’s recently appointed Managing Director of Americas.

The PwC Global Entertainment and Media Outlook projects there will be 31.5 million podcast listeners in Mexico by 2022.
