Actress Amanda de Cadenet is finding new life for television talk show The Conversation. After five years on Lifetime, her program has transitioned into a weekly podcast on Spotify. “I’m excited to launch The Conversation as a podcast format because it really lends itself to the long form, in depth conversations I like to have with my guests,” de Cadenet said.
The Conversation originally launched as an online video series in 2011 and then was picked up by Lifetime in 2014. It’s billed as a show where women can feel safe to talk to each other about a wide range of important issues and shared experiences. “The Conversation is a place for raw and honest discussions on topics that need to be addressed right now,” de Cadenet said.
Guests will include actresses, activists, authors, politicians and filmmakers. Among the announced guests for the series are Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and actresses Amber Heard, Jameela Jamil, actress Olivia Wilde, and Sophia Bush.
The initial 10-episode series launched July 2 and Spotify says it will release new episodes each Tuesday.
In addition to her acting work, de Cadenet is also a photographer and founder and CEO of Girlgaze, a multi-media company and creative agency that connects brands with a global community of female creatives.
