“For me, beauty has never been about perfection,” says Bobbi Brown. “It’s just about aiming to be the best version of yourself.” The beauty industry icon and founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will take that message to listeners in Beyond the Beauty, a new iHeartRadio Original Podcast. “I’m excited to team up with iHeartRadio to share this simple message with thousands of listeners who are searching for the true meaning of beauty,” says Brown.
It is the second podcast that Brown has created. She debuted Long Story Short With Bobbi Brown last year with Gary Vaynerchuk’s Gallery Media Group, but that show ended in September. Her new podcast with iHeart will not only give Brown a wider distribution platform, but some of her shows are expected to air on radio as part of the company’s Sunday Night Podcasts initiative.
On the new Beyond the Beauty podcast, Brown will invite listeners into her inner circle to demystify beauty. Guests include masters of their scene, including makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic of Makeup by Mario, fashion photographer Jake Rosenberg of Coveteur, and clean beauty pioneer Annie Jackson of Credo Beauty. There will also be conversations with her “closest loved ones for real uncensored talk,” according to an iHeart announcement.
While Brown may be thought of a renowned makeup artist who created 10 simple lipsticks that evolved into a global beauty empire, she has plenty to say. Brown has written nine beauty and wellness books and has become a sought-after speaker. She’s also a serial entrepreneur. Four years ago, Brown created her newest company, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, where she serves as Chief Creative Officer.
“Beauty isn’t just about makeup or moisturizer,” says Brown. “It’s about how you feel in your skin. What you eat, what you wear, how you treat others, and who you have in your posse affects your overall well-being. Information out there is so saturated, it’s hard to know what is actually right for you.”
The first episode of Beyond the Beauty will be published Jan. 15. New episodes will be released every Wednesday.
