Brit Morin, CEO of Brit + Co, a lifestyle and online learning company, is bringing her media brand to podcasting. Morin has launched the Teach Me Something New show on the iHeartPodcast Network. On the series, Morin will have conversations with everyone from experts and CEOs to influencers and celebrities and talk about something that has changed their lives for the better. In each episode, Morin will tackle a different, relatable theme like creativity, family, relationships, mental and physical wellness and business.
Morin says the podcast is the latest extension of her two-year self-discovery to try something new for at least a week at a time. “The whole thing was called Give it a Week and it quite literally changed my life by enabling me — a 30-something CEO, wife and mom of two little boys — to get out of my comfort zone and learn something new, all in just seven days,” the Silicon Valley executive wrote in a blog post. Morin said the effort struck a chord with her adult woman fan base, which finds itself busier and more overwhelmed than ever. “We are tasked to grow our careers, take care of our partners and kids, be a social butterfly, stay fit, eat right, and try to find a few minutes of ‘down time’ for ourselves somewhere amongst the madness. We’re left with little time to keep learning and exploring and often just stop and stall out,” said Morin. “It’s for these reasons that I’m excited to announce the launch of Teach Me Something New, a new podcast in collaboration with iHeartMedia.”
Guests lined up for the premiere season include Instagram founder Adam Mosseri, Rachael Ray, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Rent the Runway CEO Jennifer Hyman, and ThirdLove CEO Heidi Zak.
“Me and my co-hosts – alternating between my husband Dave Morin, and co-founder Anjelika Temple – will tackle a different theme in each episode focusing on all kinds of topics ranging from things like creativity, family and relationships, mental and physical wellness, business and innovation, and much more,” Morin said.
In addition to the iHeart reach to promote the show, Brit +Co also has a significant platform to promote the podcast. Its website reportedly reaches 130 million people a month.
The show will release new episodes each Wednesday.
