As the 2019 football season officially opens tonight, Entercom has unveiled a content distribution partnership with The Action Network to fuel sports betting content on the company’s 35 sports radio stations and on the Radio.com Sports Digital Network. As part of the partnership with the sports media company focused on sports betting, Entercom sports stations will feature “The Action Network Daily Flash” in afternoon drive, short-form updates of that evening’s betting odds. There will also be a streaming version created to run across all sports station streams. The reports will be delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the regular NFL season by the hosts of “You Better You Bet,” the daily, live sports betting show hosted by Nick Kostos that Entercom launched in August on the Radio.com Sports Digital Network. Weekly versions of the Action Network flashes will be included within the streams of Entercom’s sports stations Wednesdays through Saturdays to lead into the weekend games. 

In addition, Action Network contributors will call into Entercom sports stations on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the season to discuss sports betting headlines and the latest betting lines for that weekend’s games.

The Action Network will also become a content contributor within the Radio.com Sports Digital Network. Action Network personalities Stuckey and Collin Wilson will serve as weekly co-hosts of the “You Better You Bet” live show on Thursdays, and produce a standalone college football podcast from 5-6:30pm Eastern. The Sunday edition of “You Better You Bet” will include a branded hour, “The Action Network – Countdown to Kickoff,” from noon-1pm Eastern, featuring Chad Millman and veteran bookmaker Bob Scucci, detailing last-minute injury updates and line movement as the clock counts down to kickoff.

Finally, Radio.com will become a distribution partner for The Action Network’s podcasts, including “The Action Network Podcast” and “The Favorites.”

The partnership is the latest audio industry effort to satiate the demand for sports betting news and info, as more states legalize sports gambling.

The Radio.com Sports Digital Network, which launched Aug, 19, is an expansion of the sports brand that Entercom initially launched in February to leverage the company’s portfolio of sports content, much of which comes from sports talk radio brands like “The Fan” WFAN-FM &AM New York (101.9, 660), WEEI-FM (93.7), Boston and “Sports Radio 94” WIP-FM Philadelphia.

The Action Network was founded by the Chernin Group in October 2017 through the acquisition and roll-up of Sports Insights, Fantasy Labs and the SportsAction app. The subscription-based website and mobile app provides sports gambling news, premium insights, betting tools, data and odds designed to “to make sports fans with something at stake smarter about betting.”
