Forget the return of pumpkin spice everything, here’s how you can tell fall is on your doorstep. ESPN is launching a new flagship college football podcast, featuring lead analysts Kirk Herbstreit and David Pollack as well as SportsCenter’s Kevin Negandhi. The ESPN College Football Podcast with Herbie & Pollack will publish three times per week through the season with Negandhi hosting all episodes. Herbstreit will co-host on Mondays and Pollack will co-host on Wednesdays and Fridays.
ESPN says many of the sports network’s best-known college football personalities will join ESPN College Football Podcast as guests, with weekly segments devoted to the CFP Rankings, the ESPN CFB 150 initiative celebrating the 150th anniversary of college football, and predictions and analysis of the games to come each week.
The ESPN College Football Podcast joins CFB 150: Down & Distance hosted by Ivan Maisel and the on-demand offering of Packer and Durham, an audio version of the daily morning show airing on The ACC Network as new entries into ESPN’s podcast lineup this fall. In addition, TV’s weekday College Football Livecan be heard as a podcast.
Beyond podcasts, ESPN says ESPN Digital reached 86.8 million unique visitors—up 25% in July versus a year earlier—for its largest U.S. sports category lead ever. It was also ESPN’s eighth straight record-setting monthly reach number based on the comScore data. The ESPN app was once again ranked as the No. 1 sports app in the U.S., attracting 19.0 million unique visitors.
