Zack Reneau-Wedeen

Zack Reneau-Wedeen, the longtime face of Google Podcasts to the industry, has left the company. He has jumped into the cryptocurrency sector as Head of Product at Robinhood Crypto. Reneau-Wedeen had been the founding Product Manager for Google Podcasts since joining the company out of Yale University in 2014. No successor has been announced.

Meantime, Google Podcasts is making an update to its user interface widely available. It includes fixes for several tweaks and complaints about the Google Podcast app’s usability. The update was released in beta at the beginning of August and now the 9to5google blog says Google is releasing version 12.32+ for all Android users.

Among the changes is the app will now feature a Queue section alongside Explore Shows and Subscriptions. It will also make it easier for users to add episodes to their queue. And to make changes to the Subscriptions list. The Activity tab has also been renamed Library.
