Lots of 17-year olds are listening to podcasts, now one will have their own show on the iHeartPodcast Network. Sammy Jaye has become the youngest person to have her own podcast on iHeartRadio with the launch of Let’s Be Real. It’s the latest media move for Jaye, who is also a correspondent and teen influencer for Radio Disney.
“I have been working as a correspondent and interviewer since I was 13, and now at 17, I am so honored to be the youngest person to have her own podcast on iHeartRadio,” Jaye said in the show’s trailer. She said Let’s Be Real will feature “in-depth and unfiltered” conversations with celebrities, activists, athletes and influencers. The first three episodes launched today and features interviews with record producer Finneas, singer Meghan Trainor, and singer-activist Kesha lined up. Future guests include singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, YouTube star Liza Koshy, and activist Nadya Okamoto.
The show will range of topics from mental health, political activism and the pressures of social media to lighter topics like friendships, dating and pop culture. “We’ll cover topics we’re curious about, topics my guests are passionate about, and topics many of us are just too afraid to talk about,” said Jaye.
