SyncFloor, the company that licenses music for use in podcasts and other media, has hired Samu Rast as its Head of Sales. Rast joins the B2B platform after a five-year stint at Jingle Punks. He previously worked at the record label BMG.
“We're thrilled to have Samu joining SyncFloor to build out our fitness book while driving expansion in our media and podcasting business, all spaces in which he has significant relevant experience,” says SyncFloor cofounder and CEO Kirt Debique in the announcement.
Rast will apply his music sales background to SyncFloor’s music catalog to podcasters and fitness applications. Based in New York, it says Rast will focus on growing SyncFloor and finding new customers for its repertoire.
“I’ve been waiting for a platform to emerge that will completely change the experience of licensing commercial music, and I’m pleased to say that SyncFloor is that platform,” said Rast. “I’m thrilled to join such a talented team and look forward to helping grow SyncFloor into the No. 1 platform for licensing commercial music.”
